Good luck with the move this week. Exciting to be living in new area. We moved 250 miles away from surrey to Cornwall 28 years ago. I don't think you are moving that far though are you? I presume the new house is bigger?

  • So our last weekend has been and gone, we've had a bit of a giggle of some memories and a err about the bad ones, don't dwell on the bad ones which is a good thing why we're moving.

    Lots done this weekend done.

Both kids boxed up a box each so they know that's their box, I know it's silly but I'm trying to make the move easy for them.

    Last dump run today.

    Need to move now!
  • Woohoo, you're in Moving Week now! I hope all the packing goes smoothly.
Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.
  • When do boys grow out of the !!!!!! stage? DS thought it would be a good idea to spend two hours on his mobile talking to his GF and then taking a picture of it and posting it on instagram!!! He really doesn't think!

    and breathe!!!
  • Just a rant....why does my boy think it's acceptable to run up at £70+ bill, have his gf here when he knows no one is allowed (remember Christmas) and lie?? #exasperated!

Said child is now grounded. Child is of the belief that him & gf can have a long distance relationship (her idea). Gf has rung him 6 times & texted him loads as well as us because he's not answered *facepalm*

Not much to report money wise but needed a whinge...sorry!

One day to work, two days until moving day!

  • Morning,

We said goodbye to our lovely CM yesterday :( going to miss her and her family.

There seems to be a lot of 'lasts' at the moment, but soon we can make some 'firsts' :o

I'm on holiday now until the 10th April, it's the big move tomorrow :T today we have the removals men coming over to start packing and the kids can go catch up with their friends one last time.
  • The goodbyes are always sad, but so many firsts to look forward to!

I can feel your frustration with DS and his GF!

  • Sorry if I'm boring about the move, I promise my diary will be more DF focussed once we've moved :o

So apologies out the way. House move stuff. House is a tip. Removals men came today & packed 3/4 house, remainder to be done tomorrow. Seems unreal as we've been here for 16 years and there are people I will miss.

I may be offline for a few days, as we've no internet at the new house but I'm back at work on the 11th so I'll try to update then.

Thanks for the good wishes, means a lot xx
  • I hope it all goes well, I'm looking forward to your next post from your new house!
