  • Morning, Monday again. It comes around too quickly. This is our last full week in this house, just a few bits to sort out regarding address change.

How was everyone's Mothers Day? Mine was lovely and relaxed.

Both children are off to see their new schools today, told both kids I want to hear all about tonight.

    Pay day this week.

Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.
  • Exciting times Purp! Loving the kerplunk shed too! Hope the school visits go well.

  • How was the school visit?
  • Hiya,

Didn't get chance to update last night, sorry for my sporadic posts at the moment.

The schools visits were a success, both kids seemed to like them even DS who has to do some tests. So that's a blessing.

Rang Water company and filled in an online form for the CT yesterday, so that's all done, just a few more bits to do.

DH managed to sort out the broadband etc for the new house but it won't be installed until the 24th April.

10 days to move day and 4 days to pay day.

I will honestly be glad once we have moved and got settled in, itching to get going!

    Hope everyone is okay?
  • Update time.

All set for Guides tomorrow. Plant for Robin and cakes for the girls, I can foresee a few tears :(

DS officially became a Cadet tonight, he tried his uniform on and looks very smart. Proud mum moment :D even though we're moving, he keeps the uniform.

Things are all set for Friday, the kids last day at school, both kids are having friends round and pizzas will be ordered.

DD's school are primed for her shirt to be signed, agreed by the Head too. I think there will be a few tears then too :(

  • Tonight was a bit emotional, DD said goodbye to her Guide unit. They appreciated the cakes and Robin loved her plant. Robin also got a photo of all her unit so DD has something to remember them by. I will confess I was a blubbering mess....DD on the other hand was fine....typical eh?

Tomorrow night, I'm meeting up with an old friend who was my boss when I worked in the school kitchen (a few years back), looking forward to that.

DS is at his friends after school for dinner and the mum is then taking them to Cadets.

Final bill received from CM, seems strange that that's it, four years finished. Seems unreal.
