Apple
So sorry to hear your news. Hope your mum is alright after her fall. Take all the time you need. You know that everyone here is as here for you as they can be, x
On that note, I know I'm not signed up to this challenge folks, and haven't been for a while, I do always read along and cheerlead from the sides though, I'm happy to caretake it until Apple feels able to, or it hits September. Unless someone else wants to?

Low spend day.
Cooked dinner to clear the veg draw (spag bol)
Used up half a container of tomato and basil soup as the base. This soup is shop bought and although one of the luxury fresh soups rather bitter and unpleasant as a soup. But as a base for a veg laden meal you cant taste it.
Made a cake to use up 1 plum and 3 peaches.

Late night yesterday so missed posting on here. Therefore this for days 2 & 3
Cut the chaff
… on food:- munched on a bag of cherry tomatoes today instead of joining in with the cookies the rest were having. Joined in with the ice creams later though!
… on wants v needs: each time you don’t buy a ‘want’ keep a tally of money not spent and add it all up at the end. - Walked around an American oulet shopping centre yesterday for 2.5hrs. Didn't buy Rayban aviators but got a new pair of Guess ones in same design as my old ones (cracked) for $130 cheaper
… on exercise: - fitbit says over 12.5K steps yesterday + almost 17k today + 35 active mins yesterday, 92 today
… on screen time: - minimal on here. No tv
… in relationships: still away with my immediate family
… on spending: this links to wants v needs. 15 NSD please. - we are spending everyday on holiday (even if only theme park parking) but it was all budgeted for (in fact, so far we have only spent just over half of our money we brought with us and we have 1.5 days left) so as it was all cash from the holiday money pot (and way under budget) I'm not sure how to treat them.
... in possessions: binned one of DS3's tshirts today (was a handmedown from DS2) - print coming off, very faded and I just didn't want to take it back home. Used up the last of the hotel bottles of shampoo and conditioner which I brought with me, along with finishing 1 travel sized bottle of shower gel (bought 3 years ago as a bulk purchase) bringing me joy in the fact I am taking less home
Make each day count towards the goals that are important to you. Do something every day that takes you one step closer to one of them, and tell us about it.
Budget for every day’s activities. Look ahead. Plan what is going on. Set realistic limits. - Way under holiday spending money budget.

Thank you shy, and yes please.
Thank you so much for all your lovely, lovely messages. Very few people know in real life as yet. Mum is recovering well from her fall - she landed on her forehead and quickly had a lump and bruise where the blood followed gravity - she looks like she is wearing a superhero eye mask! She still forgets why she went to A&E, which is a whole other issue. And tomorrow she has tests on a lump she found in her breast. And the tremendous grief. It is a rollercoaster.
Sorry to dump this on you.

Morning everyone :hello:
Well my plan to have a NSD yesterday went a bit awry! I ended up doing an online grocery shop at A**a and spent £70! Granted around £45 of that was spent stocking up on things for the wee man (nappies, wipes etc) which should last a while but I still felt bad. I also bought some household stuff (kitchen roll, bin bags, fabric conditioner) which I know I could have got for cheaper popping down to a ‘discount’ store but frankly at the moment I’m too exhausted to do the running about.
The wee man has a bit of a cold and is restless so I didn’t get much time to myself yesterday. This helped limit my screen time and I chose to continue to read my latest book instead when I did have a spare moment.
I felt really hydrated yesterday and am making a note to make sure I drink more water. I’ve definitely been neglecting this.
My mobile phone bill came out yesterday and was £3.50 under budget so I paid that amount off my credit card.
The plan for today is to pop along to the post office if the weather stays dry. I’ve got a bit of cabin fever now so it’ll be good to get out!VSPC 2019 #10 - £168.80/£100 VSPC 2020 #4 - £262.03/£200 VSPC 2021 #9 - £242.88/£200 VSPC 2022 #3 - £188.03/£200 VSPC 2023 #7 - £0/£2000 -
Riddle me this;
I had some money which was kindly given to me at my birthday which firstly, I had still in the card at home and secondly, I hadn’t added it into my YNAB however I did take that money and buy my Herbalife shakes for the month ahead, £40. So was yesterday a NSD or not? I didn’t take it from my wallet, I didn’t take it from my bank and I didn’t have to add it as a transaction on my YNAB.
I’m swaying more towards it was a spend day that way I’ll be more determined to reach the target in future days.
Good luck today Turtles.0 -
