Aargh, so annoying about the bank, I would have been in proper rage mode. Seems a bit odd that the systems would close automatically - what if they were in the middle of something complicated and how could they then serve the people still in the queue?

Hope you get more bookings in soon for April Bob, sure something will turn up. :)

You've just reminded me that I need to empty our shredder & start on the new pile to be done. Will try to do it tomorrow afternoon.

    Hello All

Surfacing briefly! Still at work. Arrived at 9.30, did a viewing, met an existing client with an event on next week, did a bleep load of cleaning and now catering an afternoon into evening party.

    No rest for the wicked.

How annoying about the bank Bob. And I feel you on the monthly income stress - I'm sure something will appear, but it's awful feeling so seat-of-the-pants while you wait for it! Hopefully you'll be able to start getting a bit ahead of yourselves once the debt is gone so you have a bit of a cushion.

Thanks, yes I know it's not just me in this boat. Hopefully once my machine sale happens that will provide a cushion.
    Hi Bob,

You're a bit of a whirlwind at the moment, I'm sure April will pick up.

Sorry about your MiL, a very worrying time.

Love the photo idea, I too hate my photo being taken although DH is worse than me.

Hope you manage to sort the bank accounts out.

How lovely yo catch up with a friend, it's nice when that happens and what a find in the charity shop, I love a bargain :)

    Xx

Thanks very much, I do feel a bit like that. The overall feeling is things are going well but then I panic because I can't plan more than a month ahead now. Just need to live each day and hope for the best :)
Sorry you're so very busy at the moment Bob - things always look worse when you barely have time to turn round. I'm keeping everything crossed that things work out for April for you.
What pains in the bum about the bank - I would have been in meltdown...

    Thanks Cat :)

    Morning All

Feeling very battered this morning after almost a 12 hour day and mostly on my feet the whole time. I sat down for a sandwich at 12 and that was it till dinner time at 8.30. Also found I just couldn't wind down last night after a busy day I get that sometimes. Plus so much going on at the moment. Think I saw 3am before sleep came. Awake again around 7 when the guys were getting up.

Haven't achieved a huge amount this morning yet.

    Wealth

    * We seem to be holding up so far this month. Checked banking again this morning. Our last big bill went out today, now around £200 of smaller ones till the next pay day.

    * New business slow last week. Only 1 booking. I have managed to set up a meeting this week between two parties that might work together. So that is something good that's taken a few weeks of planning. I was surprised not to take two other bookings last week based on conversations, either people being slow or just not interested. Will hopefully hear back from the potential clients I met yesterday soon as they were dead keen at the time.

    * I am concerned about the weekend ahead. Just timings really. I am doing some catering for a large event, but it follows on the heels of another big event which makes me worry about overlap. Will be doing a lot of planning this week to mitigate as much as possible.

    * A relative sent us a small cheque as a gift for the children which I need to get posted off.

    * I was given a £20 tip yesterday which was very nice. Have put towards the shopping budget.

    * Managed to Womble a 60 point receipt which I will get added on tommorow. At £12 in Mr S points now. Normally I use the money off my shopping so it's nice seeing it add up.

    * Have done loads of social media since yesterday. Received a very nice review on our fb page. I think people would think I was doing a lot better than I am from looking at the SM. It definitely helps get work as the people who came yesterday said it was as a result of viewing other events on SM.

    Health

    * Tired and headachey/ very achey upper shoulders from lots of lugging boxes yesterday. Hopefully a gentle day ahead.

    Organisation

    * Have written all the birthday cards/mother's day cards for the month and will get them in the post today/tommorow. Will add in a thank you note to one card once DS has written it. Save on a stamp.

    * Quick reccie of the fridge and I can see it can be a NSD. Cooked a pack of chicken drumsticks I got for 34p, last night, so can use those up with some jacket potatoes for OH and I.

    * Dry washing off radiators and packed away. New load done and hung.

    * Hoovered.

    * Debating whether to write a complaint to the bank about Saturday. Hardly seems worth it given they are closing anyway. But still.....

    Have a good day all.
