Big bathroom de cluttered and scrubbed!!
  • Evening all,

Well done on your progress Michellex

Iona your foot sounds like it is now healing nicely. Still, take it easy!

As I suspected, no more flying done today, only the dailies. I have been looking after children, keeping them fed and ensuring they do not come to blows! Took them swimming, and also helped OH with moving some stuff around, and going to DIY shop for sealant then be could fit another window.

Tomorrow may be no better, as I have DD1's friend again for half the day.
    See you all tomorrow x

The list's up. My trip to Nottingham today has inspired an extra. I hadn't been for aeons! We went to the castle as well as the kitty cafe then popped to Ikea on the way home (roughly). DD now has 'pyrex' bowls with plastic lists for batch cooking - this means she won't be buying disposable aluminium ones.

For those of you entertaining littlies - the time flies; so do the summers. Please don't stress about keeping up with the cleaning; tell us what you're doing with your precious ones!

Tomorrow I plan to make jam!

    Evening all

Quick update from me. Been at the home for the past 24 hours, it's just a matter of waiting now he's not got long left. Family are all here and rallying round. DH still away with work so I've been calling in all my favours for childcare. Kids loving it though, it's like they've been on an adventure to various fun people's houses for the past day, whilst being spoilt rotten.

    Utterly exhausted.

I'll catch up with everyone's news tomorrow xxxx

I have a collection of plastic and ali tubs and containers. I do a lot of batch cooking and found it would be expensive to keep buying new ones. Now I just use a medium size freezer bag - cheap on a roll in all the £ shops - and write on the bag. Then place the bag in the tub and add one/two portions. Suck out the air, tie with a plastic tie (leave a little room to expand) and freeze. Once frozen the bags can be removed and stacked and the tub is ready to use again :money:

My favourite bit of de cluttering - the binmen have been. It was the black bin too and to quote Philippa (Dinnerladies) "whifferama"!
I shall wash it out with disinfectant and hot water later.

Lynne - she will be in a student house so not much in her kitchen armoury as yet! Good tip that.

Morning all. Hugs ATB and anyone else who needs them (that includes everyone entertaining children for the next few weeks).

So far today I have refreshed the water in my vase of flowers. Just having breakfast then the plan is:

    Wash breakfast dishes
    Gym
    Bath
    Hoover through
    Walk dog
    Gardening

    Have a great day everyone.

Well said Valli. No-one tells you that one day those littlies will turn into teenagers who hardly speak to you unless they want something!! My two didnt actually get out bed yesterday then there was a mad flurry as one was playing cricket and the other going to pre-season football training and they had both left it late to get ready.

I had left a casserole in the slow cooker for everyone to help themselves when they came in. DS1 wolfed a great plate full down then said thanks Mum that was lovely. Bless him.

Thanks for kind words yesterday, you are wonderful friends. DH and I need to talk things through properly, I just need to really spell it out to him how I feel.

Got to run, paid stuff x 2. Have swished bathroom and kitchen, might get 5 minutes to run carpet sweeper around.

Take care ATB. Have a good Thursday all x

Me again. Just the dog walk to do then I can get on with gardening. Have also put a load in the machine, and will sort out the recycling when I get back from the walk.

DH's can be such a pain. Mine has gone to work this morning even though his holiday doesn't finish till tomorrow.
