Rehome anything that has been left lying around or isn't where it should be - it's amazing how a declutter makes a place look cleaner!

With a very slightly damp cloth wipe the sockets, switches and door handles.
Wipe down all the door fronts, cupboard doors etc
Get down on your hands and knees and give the kickboards (mind has gone blank but they have another name, too)
Windowsill - clear, wipe and replace only what actually lives there
Take any mats outside and whack them against the wall
    Sweep/vacuum/mop the floor
    Clean the windows
    Extras

Thank you for the thread Valli and to Natty for last week. X

I'm in between taking ds2 looking for poke mon. We have just been to the park and he found a few new ones and refilled his poke balls.

2xwm done and are outside drying. The sky is very dark so I may have to bring them in soon.

Ds1 is at work later and tomorrow then is heading to uni city for a few days. He booked it for gf's birthday but they have now split up. I have explained that it will cost him more to still go than to stay home working but you can only lead a horse to water.....It will give me a chance to deep clean boys' room.

I think it may be time for a HHC if anyone wants to join in X

Hugs, sticks & spoons available help yourselves.

Atb peaceful passing vibes for your Gd and coping ones for GM x
  • Fairly productive morning, then I skyped my sister and gossiped for a few hours even though I'll see her on Friday...

[STRIKE] Wipe the worktops and anything that is visible on them
With a very slightly damp cloth wipe the sockets, switches and door handles.
Wipe down all the door fronts, cupboard doors etc
Windowsill - clear, wipe and replace only what actually lives there [/STRIKE]
    Sweep/vacuum/mop the floor
    Sort out bottom drawer

Slowly getting somewhere, the drawer will probably take the most time! Started on it but then the kids became moody, so I gave up.

    Paint splattered around :D

I've emulsioned in the alcove a second coat and I've glossed skirting and 3 doors and frames on that side.

I've so much stuff in the garage - including a huge fridge freezer so I'm having to work in sections which is a bit annoying but means tea breaks during drying times ;)

Done with emulsion for today and I might have a nap before painting the door frames again, lol. And I need to take the shelves and hooks down at the other side. And empty my desk.

    Chased electrician as well.

Tomorrow I need to return some books to school and return a pan to Mr S. Despite saying induction compatible, it absolutely isn't!

    Afternoon all.

Bills all paid, finances updated on the computer and I've updated my spreadsheets as well. I've paid off £800 of debt so far this year excluding interest payments :D:j My target was £500 for the year, and most of the payments have been clearing my catalogue card but its a start as I haven't had to use my credit cards ;) Plus as of todays payments both credit cards are well under £4k :jI'd love to get the total of both under £7 by Christmas but I can't see that happening as I'd need another £300 to do that...I've also got half my filing up to date. Just bank statements to file and then juggle the paperwork I need to keep year to year.

All the laundry is washed and out on the line drying, and I've just put the breadmaker on by request. Which means I can also skip the weekly shop today ;)

Going to finish this filing, then tomorrow can be a purely work day :D

Hugs atb, sending you my love and support. Oh and the same goes for others around here who are in need.

Been away for the weekend. Back to it now, one load of washing in, another on the line. House looks grubby. I am sure I cleaned it before we went away.

DS1 cant find another job and is behaving oddly. I think this could be the depression creeping back.

And I tried to talk to DH while we were away about my unhappiness/feelings of being overwhelmed/feelings of doing more than my share. Somehow I came away from this discussion feeling like I was at fault. He did make it clear that I am grumpy a lot nowadays. Feel very confused about all of this. Is it me?

Anyhow on that cheery note I am off to tidy a bit then go to my gym class. We have been dismantling DS2s old bed and moving furniture ready for his new bed to arrive. Turns out his bed will now arrive on Wednesday, not tomorrow as planned so he may have to sleep on his old mattress on the floor for a night. Not the end of the world.
