    hahah another convert.

did you notice they have a swap shop?

I've never tried it but there are a lot of UK members?

Ooh swapping.... - even better than shopping!

You might be seeing a bit less of me on DFW. I think I've found a new place to play!

    Cheers Jane!

I stopped wearing a lot of makeup but I have found the joy of wearing it again and love the tips they give... Like

Shading your eye with black eye liner and then using an iradescent (?) eye shadow makes the shadow change colour! I have a yellow colour from Benefit that goes green with black eye liner underneath it. 2 colours for the price of 1!
    Current debt - £16,300 :(
    Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek:
:ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A

:D Very MSE! Martin would be proud :D

I love makeup and playing around with it. If I don't feel like wearing any today then I don't, but usually I wear some.

Putting my face on is part of "girding my loins" for the day. While I'm doing it I'm usually thinking about what I've got to do today and where I've got to go...

I'm off to experiment wih my black eye liners and all my eye shadows!

He's got a trip to the states coming up in the new year and I've been umming and aaaahing whether to break my not buying anything rule in order to get some beauty bargains.

Well if it's the states then it has got to be Benefit, so much cheaper than the UK, for example I love their dandelion finishing powder, it is about £22 in Boots but in the States it is $26 (about £13). I think Dior is cheaper too, I like their mascara which is £18.50 in Boots and having a look at the Macy's website it is $22.
I don't know who was talking about the YSL touche eclat but it also brings me out in an allergic reaction (never used to, it must have changed ingredients, I only used the new one a few times). I don't know if I have still got it but if I have you're welcome to it...... I will check tonight and post on here tomorrow.

  • oh, guys, I'm terrible too! so glad I'm not alone!!! I'm going to eBay some make-up / lotions and potions!

Just a thought, in the summer we had a big party at our flat and we got left with about 6 or 8 bottles of top end suntan lotions... all just bought for the day... so not really even used! I sent a text to everyone saying they had left it at the flat, and they all came back and said... 'enjoy! don't want it back'

can you believe that? some of these people earn A LOT though... if it were me, I'd go back over and pick it up!!!

Anyway, I was just thinking, do you think it would be okay to sell these on eBay???
makes me a little nervous! what do you think???
  • Jacks I'm with you - I dont get stuff often but when I do its gotta to good!! :) I also suit brown & love Bobbi brown but have been a good DFW and not got any lately! Will look that site up as a good way to treat without going OTT!
Boots are doing a special offer on own brand bubble bath for 59p for a huge bottle & its yummy - I got the white one! Still working my way through old shower gels, freebies etc! Despite having loads of moistuisers I hardly ever use them! I know..its the shopping that gets the buzz!! No denying it! Stil get a buzz but now its knowing I'm getting the cheapest bargain and cashback etc with it!

:jHello everyone, I've never really been into makeup particularly although do wear foundation/bronzer and mascara to face the day due to not great skin and eyelashes with very fair ends. Before going on holiday last year I bought some from Marks and Sparks who do a budget range at £2.50 a throw for any item I don't have any very expensive products to compare it to but I thought it was all really good, and will continue to use this stuff now. I know I'm not supposed to be encouraging you guys to spend any cash, but when the time comes to replace something I think this is worth a go.

    £2.50????!!!!

Two pounds blimmin fifty???? :D

Well it's got to be worth a look at that price hasn't it? :j

I might have to mosey into M&S to see what they've got. I could add a few bits to my daughters Christmas hamper and then maybe have a sneaky sample of a couple of them myself.
    Cheers honey! :T

 I'm a bit rubbish for trying new things out of curiosity and then leaving them to gather dust on the shelf for the rest of eternity as well.

But they're not making me gorgeous sat on the blimmin' shelf are they??? :D

Doing this has been good for me cos it's making me use it ALL up.

And just imagine the fun I'll have restocking when I finally have an empty shelf!

(After having done plenty of research into the best buys on makeupalley of course! :D )

I'm SO glad I'm not the only one.

I bet all the fellas on here think we're crazy!

(but I bet they've got secret stashes of Christmas pressie gift set toiletries lurking somewhere though! :D )
