A depressing realisation

Mine's hair products. Gum, gel, wax, gunk, jelly, spray, spray wax, slime goop and ooddles of other stuff. Never really thought about it until now. I'm on a mission to use it all up. Nice one, I can't believe I'd missed this, I usually just buy one when I see one down a shopping aisle, not thinking about if I need another or not!! Think I'll do the same with our shampoo etc, there's a boxfull of half finished stuuf, and I'm sure I've got some expensive shampoo and conditioner that I haven't even opened that I bought when I was blond, I can't use it now as my hair is black and it'll strip the colour.0

I had a similar moment with Lush products about a year ago. I decided to stop buying them and use them up - they all have use by dates for pete's sake! And I'm still getting through them - how embarassing! It's v satisfying when you get to the end of a bottle though
Oh me too, Lush is such a weakness of mine.
Handy hint though, wait till January and they usually run a "spend over £10 and get a free giftset" deal with all the leftover Christmas stock. I think I spent £10.50 or something like that and got about £30 worth of stuff free.
Naturally I chose the biggest box on the shelf 0 0

 Welcome to the naughty corner honey!
Life would be pretty dull if we didn't have *some* vices huh?
I hear you on the subject of hair products hon - but with me it's hair masks and conditioner and serums.
I'm on a constant mission to get ever shinier hair so I have an arsenal of hair products on the go at any given time depending on what I think my hair needs on any given day.
Could you stick that pricey shampoo on eBay maybe?

I've spent so much on lotions and potions through the doctors and it keeps coming back to aqueous cream and as i need a pot at work and one at home it's always paid for me to look around.
When i put up the post about asda & tesco's i thought, they'll just think 'oh it's only a quid why did she bother us with that'. Glad it will help you out. And i can confirm that it can be used in the shower, just check for slippiness (as you would normally do)0

Aqeuous cream is great in the shower - you can use it to wash with, I do when my skin's bad.

 I LOVE using something up and pitching it into the bin!
It's similar to the feeling I get when I kick a debt into touch.
 Love it!
I think Lush stuff sounds lovely, but the shop is so heavily scented I can't even get over the threshold without getting an immediate headache and starting to wheeze so I just press my nose up to the glass on the pavement and confine myself to sniffing Lush stuff in other people's bathrooms!

LOL I can also SO relate to this thread! I have a mountain of make up, it's truly awful. Though I was strong the other day in the Body Shop by refusing some shiny glittery green eye shadow, for the first time in ever, I was so proud!
As for this Aqueous stuff, I've found the cream on boots, but no shower gel, is this the right sort of stuff:

OOh The thought never even crossed my mind hon.
 My first thought was "Doh!"
followed swiftly by "that quid I save will buy 3 dark chocolate Bounty bars!"
 Just as a random example...;)
And all the little savings add up in the same way that all the little spends add up don't they.
I am loving the moneysaving on this thread!

Right it took me most of the evening but I have sorted out my make up and nail stuff, I have a pile to ebay and a pile to give away to family and friends that I never use but that cant be put on ebay, My make up case is looking rather empty now but I am reminding myself quality over quantity!!! Plus any money I make can go on new make up in the new year to replace some of the stuff I will have used up by then. :jOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 086Proud to be dealing with my debts !Total Debt: Was £6368.84  now £945.36Sealed Pot Challenge 049 Aim £5000
