 :DBlimey honey. You must have had quite a stash! It's cool not having to buy any of this stuff for a while though - and I get quite a kick from using things up.

I'm getting to the point where I might to have to buy stuff.

My drawer is almost empty and the shelf of things in use has space on it.

    I miss body scrub!

You're telling me i had loads. the only loser in the challenge has been my sister as i used to get the shampoo and conditioner BOGOFs and then give her them when it turned out i couldn't use them! lol
I've still got quite a bit lots of gift packs to tackle next. I tried to tell my firend about this challenge, she's in severe financial straits and i said something as simple as shampoo and conditioner could costs about £50 by the time you've paid the credit card off (slight overstatement i know). She hadn't thought of it like that.

oh, guys, I'm terrible too! so glad I'm not alone!!! I'm going to eBay some make-up / lotions and potions!

Just a thought, in the summer we had a big party at our flat and we got left with about 6 or 8 bottles of top end suntan lotions... all just bought for the day... so not really even used! I sent a text to everyone saying they had left it at the flat, and they all came back and said... 'enjoy! don't want it back'

can you believe that? some of these people earn A LOT though... if it were me, I'd go back over and pick it up!!!

Anyway, I was just thinking, do you think it would be okay to sell these on eBay???
makes me a little nervous! what do you think???

    Hey sweetie, :hello:

I always think you can sell anything on eBay as long as you are completely honest about it and give a buyer all the details they need to make an informed decision.

As long as you're honest I don't see a problem.

(But work out your postage carefully as some of those sun cream bottles are pretty heavy!)

That is SO true honey.

I've talked myself out of buying loads of things cos I know how much it'll end up costing me.

The bottom line is if you're in debt - unless you need it right now this minute - it's better to throw the cash at the debts instead.

But we all need some treats...

I've got an individual line for Chocolate at spendingdiary.com! :o:D

And I've just had an unscheduled splurge this week - but I'll confess that one on Sunday. :o

I have very dry skin and swear by aqueous cream, I get it from boots (have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter) and it costs about £3 for a huge tub. It is very thick so I smother it on before bed (and wear old pjs because it goes everywhere) and then wash it off in the shower the next morning. It even sorts out the crocodile skin on my feet.

Imelda you can get this at Asda or Tescos for less than £2 i have to use it to wash my hands because of my excema.

I can understand about chocolate as well!
I never considered myself to have a thing about toiletries but i guess not getting loads for 2 years proves that i did have one, i dont' really do make up though as i'd rather spend the time in bed on a morning and if i wear it too much my excema plays up.

I can relate so much to this thread. I think it struck home with me when my cousin and her bf stayed at mine one weekend. Her bf was just gobsmacked at the amount of stuff that I have!

I needed blusher, so instead of getting Benefit's Dandelion, I went down to Asda. I got blusher and 2 lipglosses for a fiver. The lipglosses are pretty good. Would be nice for your daughter's Christmas hamper Jacks

This thread is a boon today!

I get aqueuous cream for my dad as he has terrible trouble with his skin and I've always just bought it from Boots without a thought for if I could get it cheaper.

    I'll check it out.

Do you think it would work in the shower?

My hubby keeps mentioning about the last couple of (cheap) shower gels we've had being drying and his skin has been bothering him a bit I think.

I've been avoiding looking at moisturising shower gels cos I didn't want to get sucked in and end up spending loads of £££, but I think I can run to Aqueous cream - even though I always say it wrong! :o

Aqeuous cream is great in the shower - you can use it to wash with, I do when my skin's bad.

I had a similar moment with Lush products about a year ago. I decided to stop buying them and use them up - they all have use by dates for pete's sake! And I'm still getting through them - how embarassing! It's v satisfying when you get to the end of a bottle though :)

It's horses for courses honeybun,. For some people it's smellies and for other it's lippies. For some of us it's bargains! We just can't walk away from a good deal.:D

My skin has always been dodgy, so I'm well into skin care and foundations / concealers etc, and a lot of smellies seem to set it off so I use very little smelly stuff.

I know what you mean about the time in the morning though, but I need a bit of help at my age - and as I said, it helps me get my "game face on" for the day and plan what i'm going to do.

For those mornings when I just couldn't get up I have a five minute "do it whilst sat on the loo / brushing my teeth / hair with my eyes still half shut" routine that I add mascara to when I get to work and I can focus! :rotfl:

Mmmm Ben-e-fittttt! :D We could quite happily buy the whole lot couldn't we?

My nanny likes to do her shopping in Asda so I'll park her at the pharmacy bit for 5 minutes and check it out. (She usually needs a little rest half way round any way as she's 93.)
    Cheers honey! :T
