I try and tell myself that it's done out of concern Dawn. There's no pretty much about it - I do it all on my own and I also have the longest working hours out of all of us. I can't help but feel like I'm being judged though. Maybe I will get a cleaner. I succumbed and got a gardener - and it would be nice to not have to scrub the bathroom as often as I do.
And my mam says I have too many blankets. How can you ever have too many blankets? That doesn't even make sense. :p
I've made it to the end of the day and I'm still in one piece. Still not feeling great but I'm another day closer to getting done with the GCSE lot. It's a tough gig for sure. Still miserable and cold outside. I have massive amounts of work to do, but less massive than I normally do so I might make a quick getaway from work tonight. I have dinner to do, and to take ds to his swimming lesson. Need to google a recipe for a sauce to go with my meatballs - I'm bored of tomato sauces now.
Other than that I would like to bag a nsd if I can but I doubt that I will - I normally get conned out of cash for takeaway for the kids on a Monday night.

I agree with you on the blanket front. We have a ginormous one over the sofa and armchair each plus three more which feature in rotation on the bed or sofa, and I would never say no to more and am always on the look out for one.

((CCL)) I think you have said before that your mum and sister are minimalist - if they are then they won't understand the comfort of a blanket.

I also think you should have a cleaner - you work hours and hours all week and then at weekends and evenings you do housework with very little support from DH.
I know he has mental health but this laying in bed is surely not good for his state of mind and of course you need help around the house and with the kids. You cannot keep doing it all otherwise you will end up having a breakdown.

    Morning all :coffee:
Today is definitely a double coffee day. I feel awful. :(
I'm definitely stressed about dh. He is the ultimate lazy so and so, and it is tough to know where the line is between depression and lazy. I usually end up getting told off by his doctors when it all comes to a head for not being more understanding of his condition... He is definitely on a downward spiral though...
Literally seconds after I finished posting on here yesterday afternoon I got a phone call from dd's school. It was her head of year. She'd been brought to the office at the end of the day by her science teacher for hiding some stuff belonging to the other girl during the lesson, so she was in a bit of bother. Then she'd gotten so upset that the Head of Year wouldn't let her go home unless I picked her up so I had to leave work straight away and go to get her. There is a bit more to the story - the teacher had refused to let dd move seats so she had to sit with the girl who she hates and was verbally abused for most of the lesson, before this kid threw her pencil case in the bin. DD retaliated rather than telling the teacher and the other kid then told the teacher. Ugh. I am utterly fed up of this whole situation now. I think I'm going to become the most aggravating parent that ever existed until someone does something about the behaviour of the other kid. DD doesn't want to go to school today. That upsets me because I hated school in terms of bullying from other kids.
So stick dd and dh's situation on top of the manic full teaching days, extra revision sessions and lazy Year 11 who are a week away from GCSE and I'm kind of feeling it. No wonder I was feeling a bit flat over the weekend. I feel awful mentally this morning - I don't want to do anything. I want to do what dh does and stay in bed all day ignoring the world, except I don't have that luxury of course. Ah well. At least I have my diary here to rant on, and I have double year 11 to rant at later. :D

Ugh - it's not over yet. Ofsted are coming back tomorrow to see more teaching and learning. They were in with me lesson 1 this morning, but that definitely doesn't mean that they've finished seeing me. I was up SO late last night getting prepped and ready for today, and it's now going on for another day. The positive is that I'm prepped and ready to go. And no matter what happens it will definitely be over this time tomorrow. I can't believe I've had 3 solid weeks of this much work and I'm shattered. Roll on weekend and half term.
There really is nothing else to report as this has taken over my life for the past 2 days. DH still isn't well (I don't think) but I need to look after myself at the moment because I'm more stressed that you could know. At least (touch wood) dd's situation seems to have settled down at school for the moment. I will catch up properly after tomorrow.

    Morning all :coffee:
Well I survived and made it through Ofsted, although I was a bit of a wreck yesterday. Lack of sleep and long hours had caught up with me - I'd only managed 3 hours of sleep on Thursday night. I'm not allowed to say how the school got on until the report is published, but my feedback from the inspectors was very good, which I'm relieved/pleased about. Apparently I'm very good at teaching, which is nice to know as that is the main reason I do the job :p And I needed the reminder yesterday because I was so tired and I had quite a run in with a Year 10 girl. So I'm pleased in terms of me and how I'm doing at work. And I'm doubly pleased that the Head made the time to come and see me and tell me that I need to stop doubting myself so much.
There has been literally nothing else in my life for the past week. I totalled up how much work I've done since the end of the Easter hols and I've spent almost 190 hours on work stuff in 3 weeks. I am worn out that's for sure - and the exams start next week which means that the exam marking will be starting soon as well so more busy stuff.
My money saving and frugality has gone out of the window this week. I've bought pre packed sandwiches, lunches on the run and takeaway. Ugh. Now I've had a good night's sleep I feel more like getting back to normality - I can't remember how long it is since I hoovered and that does stress me out somewhat.
It's a usual Saturday - ds football, coffee with bestie, tutoring plus today I have a set of books to mark and a set of exam papers to mark. So it will be busy but at least I'm not tired any more.
Back to normality, and only 2 weeks until half term :D
