Thankfully, I've been too busy to spend money over the past couple of days as well, which is always good for the budget.
Every cloud and that. :money:0 -
Diary is going to be a bit boring and samey. I worked until 8pm tonight with school stuff. Good job I can multitask because I made a curry at the same time. Just getting a chance to sit down and eat it now. Nearly had a little meltdown today because I had my time planned out to the second and someone interfered with my plans. Nonetheless I'm done and back on track - although there will be another set of exam papers to mark tomorrow, and I've been putting off report writing all week as well. So I'm far from being done and dusted.
Just need to make sure that I'm looking after myself. I'm very tired tonight and desperate for an early night so I think crochet is going to have to go on the back burner for now. Sleep is way more important on days like this. As is heating - I've had to give up and switch that back on for a bit. Think I might head off to my basket now and then hopefully tomorrow I'll feel more like my old self. Not giving up

Hey ccl, sorry I've been so awful at checking in recently, but it sounds like you're still doing well
You do an amazing job and hopefully you can keep managing the stress — even when it feels like all is chaos! Look after yourself

Evening.
More of the same... Worked late, but didn't have to bring anything home for the first time this week. Curry was nice (green thai for me and dh, Chinese style for the kids) and I had leftovers for dinner tonight, with enough for lunch tomorrow as well - oh yes!
Tomorrow is payday which I am completely desperate for this month - I'm almost out of fuel (by almost I mean less than half a tank - dh hates my paranoia over this) and I'm also fairly desperate for a baked muffin for breakfast tomorrow as a treat for surviving this incredibly busy week so far. In fact, I might go through the drive through St@rbucks on the way in tomorrow:D:D Completely frivolous but required for my survival I think...
I did get my early night last night, and slept pretty well but I still felt as though I'd been run over when I got up this morning. Everything is aching, and I think I might be getting a cold. But I've done another day of working solid so hoping to survive tomorrow and get to the long weekend intact.
I haven't done any crochet at all this week - no time. I'm not doing any tonight either - just heading off to bed for 9 again I think.
Hope everyone is doing well - ABA I had been hoping that you were doing ok. It's not long till your trek now is it?Not giving up

Evening everyone.
I have officially survived the week, but I am completely shattered this evening. Looking forward to a very long sleep tonight (I hope). I would already be in bed if I wasn't waiting in for Mr T to bring me my monthly shop. It's a heck of a shop this month - I normally do a shop about £90 at the beginning of the month and then top up during the month. But I haven't properly done it for a couple of months now. As a result we need a lot of essentials this month and the guide price has come in at a whacking £146  Hopefully that will reduce the amount I am currently spending on takeaways and eating out...
I've worked SO hard this week that I've managed to get away without bringing anything at all home school-wise. I have done a lot of hours this week though so kind of feel that I've earned it. I've hoovered and started the washing for the weekend but other than that I'm just going to unpack the shopping and go to sleep. Lazy bones.
Nothing else to report. Just need an early night now so I'll see you all in the morning. :wave:Not giving up

OK - so it's evening rather than morning
but here I am checking in and reporting a pretty decent night's sleep last night. I didn't feel awful when I woke up this morning and I had plenty of relaxation time. I did a load of dishes, put the washing on and settled with my crochet in front of the telly for an hour before anyone else got up. Then bestie popped round for coffee and a chat, which I look forward to every Saturday
Big news this end is that Sunderland were relegated today. I thought ds and dh would be more distraught than they are, but in my opinion they will enjoy it more next season, when hopefully Sunderland will be more competitive than they have been all of this season. We shall see. Apparently people were crying at the match, and not just because Sunderland are really bad at footballI should think relief rather than upset. It's been a slow and painful relegation that's been overdue for a few years at least. Says me. Who knows absolutely nothing at all about football. Just joining in
I was at tutoring when all of this happened, earning more extra pennies. That's been about it for today - not a nsd as I put £43 of petrol in the car and bought some bananas that I'd forgotten about last night. Nothing else to report other than a steely determination to get some of my billion ongoing crochet projects completed this weekend...Not giving up

Hello CCL
I have only ever been to one football match. I suddenly got an urge to attend one some years ago as we moved to within a couple of miles of Elland Road in Leeds. Guess who they were playing and guess who lost?!! I have never been allowed to attend a Leeds Utd match since that fateful thrashing by Sunderland!
Love you reading your diary and glad you've had a good day.Tilly Tidying andPADing in 2024 £250.62

Morning all :coffee: Gotta love an extra day off work
Not sure why I didn't check in yesterday. I think I probably thought there was nothing to report in the morning and then I didn't get back on last night. Not that there's too much to report now mindI had a fairly lazy day yesterday... Took ds to a wild and windy football match, did a bit of housework and cooking, then spent most of the day with crochet. When I started crochet I did one thing at a time and finished one thing before starting another. At the moment I have at least half a dozen unfinished things on the go - mostly blankets. So I'm trying to get some of them finished before the manic nature of exam season starts in the next fortnight. I doubt I'll get far as finishing off blankets is a massive job but I'm really hoping to get one finished today - just nine rounds to go (but at 800+ stitches a round that's a bit of a job).
I'm not sure if I'm planning for a nsd or not. We always used to do a family lunch out on bank holidays but the kids are both preoccupied with friends at the moment and I reckon that they may not want to eat out. No big deal - there's another holiday at the end of the month. Plus it would mean a pyjama day for me.Then just the usual house stuff and loads of tv and crochet.
I've got a little niggle about a failed payment to muscle food. I did a big meat order that was due to go today, and got an email saying the payment had failed. Not sure why though - certainly not lack of funds unless I've miscalculated my budget by a few hundred pounds which seems unlikely. They're going to try again at 10 and we'll see what happens then.
Right, I'm going to make a start with my crochet while it's all still quiet here. Have a good day :wave:Not giving up

Enjoy your day off.
From an MSE point of view, would you recommend Muscle Food?0
