Crazy Cat Lady Chapter 2 - Groundhog Day

Hi Speky - I would definitely recommend Muscle Food. I normally only buy a hamper a couple of times a year as I get most of my meat from the butchers - but it's really well priced and very high quality. I often wonder how they make a profit. My payment went through this morning with no issues at all and no changes on my part so I don't know what had happened overnight.
So, today was indeed a pyjama day because both kids were way more content to spend the day with their friends rather than their boring old mother. I have crocheted like mad but I still don't have a finished blanket.Only one and a bit rounds to go (or 1000 stitches) - I'm not going to sleep tonight until I've finished that one. It's taken way longer than I thought and it weighs a ton so it's a quality piece at least. I've done very little else - minimal housework, cooked spicy chicken and sorted lunch money for the kids for the week ahead. I am just about to shower and go to bed. In theory I love days in doing nothing, but the reality is I've gotten a bit grumpy as the day has gone on. Not really sure why, dh isn't doing great today and that's rubbed off, plus I've gotten resentful of how lazy the rest of my family are all of the time. And I am also a bit tired.
Right, time to get on... if I don't I'll still be up beyond midnight trying to finish this blanket off.:eek:Not giving up

Evening all :coffee:
I have finished one of the blankets!!!!:j I put it out on the sofa to photo and put on fb and one of the cats sat right in the middle and went to sleep on it so it must be alright. I've sewn all the ends in as well - and I just need to decide who I'm going to give this one to.
It's not looking as though I'll get much crochet done this week either. I thought it was going to be less busy at work this week but it's already manic. Got in at 8.15 this morning, worked solidly with a full day of teaching, right through break and most of lunch then did a 75 minute revision session straight after school. That's before I get any of the other admin, marking etc done. I have 50 year 10 reports to write before Friday and a full appointment sheet for parents evening. So looks like another incredibly busy week ahead. I'm so pleased that I relaxed and enjoyed the weekend properly.
I'm so tired tonight though, I stupidly stayed up to do this blanket and watch the snooker and then didn't sleep as long as I should have done. So no work from home tonight, but an early night and hopefully a more productive day tomorrow.
Right - onwards! Don't be so surprised if I go a bit quiet on here this week. Work has to be a priority at the moment. Not giving up

Thanks Bob - I'm doing ok. It's just a really busy time of year for me at the minute. I was there until 6pm tonight but my reports are done :j and I can forget about it for now (until the next lot arrive). I'm starting to get a faint glimmer of hope that I might just get a book marked this week
But I won't speak too soon just in case.
I'm tired again but hoping to get an hour of crochet done before bed tonight.
Really not much else to report. Living life on caffeine and work...Not giving up

Evening everyone  :coffee:
Another day done, and I am tired... Very, very tired indeed. Almost made it to the end of the week. Still haven't quite managed to get round to marking a book but I've marked a shedload of exam papers and planned for next week, all while sucking up to head of department and trying to help him out with stuff.
Haven't even bothered to do the hoovering since I got in tonight. Just need a bit of a night off from everything. Did sandwiches for dinnerand am just going to crochet for a while before bed.

Evening all :coffee:
I've made it through another week at work. Still very tired, still very busy but looking forward to some time to relax over the weekend. Just left ds at football training and I'll have to go get him soon but then I will be done for the night.
Busy trying to get a very upset dd sorted out. There has been an issue ongoing with another girl at her school for a couple of months now. I'd spoken to someone at school about it twice but it all came to a head this week and dd ended up punching her. I know that there's no real excuse for it but she'd put up with it for weeks and got fed up. So this other girl's parents arrive at school to complain and everything has hit the fan. DD is a really good kid, and the school know that the other girl is a bully but dd feels terrible about it at the moment. I can't believe it to be honest. I've tried to bring my kids up to speak their minds, be honest but respectful and to leave people alone that they aren't bothered about. I've got a couple of friends at the school so am staying very closely in touch but I feel quite heartbroken about how upset she is about the whole thing.
Other than that - I've decided that I might have a couple of drinks tonight to wind down from another week. I wish I was a bit less tired. Not giving up
