Hello all,
I have been awol for a while, but need to get back on track this month, as I have been spending a fortune on rubbish grub over the past few weeks. I've fallen back into my takeaway-scoffing mode, which always happens when I am soo busy at work!
ANYWAY, I'm in for a total budget of £180 this month, of which i have already spent £55! It won't be an easy month, but I need to discover some discipline againg, and I'm hoping this will help.
thanks again to our organisers for their work keeping this thread going! :T:T2025 goals

Hoping to spend no more than £5 today picking up some packed lunch bits for the week. Going to write my list and stick to it - unless I see a better bargain!0

I'm not setting a goal this month as it's my first official month so I'm going to check my receipts at the end of the month and take it from there. I'm hoping it's under £150 for the whole month though.
That's for me, two cats and a rabbit. Plus twice a week entertaining - a family dinner and a girls night. No more making the same mistakes!

I've been absent since last year, around December. Many changes in my household since then. I became 95% vegan.. purely due to having bulk egg noodles and a few other vegetarian bits to use. I don't drive, so I have to go between maybe Ocado one week, then Sainsburys the next due to vegan offerings. My youngest daughter is going to try and eat more vegetarian meals again.
This month my daughter turned 18 and has moved in with her boyfriend, though she visits once a week still. So occasionally i'm still cooking her the odd meal and helping her out with the odd few bits of shopping. Also, five months ago we found out she is pregnant, so there'll be another little mouth to feed at some point.
We still have five cats, and possibly adopting a sixth. I order from zooplus for them every three weeks
I've also changed jobs, and I am now working in a shop, so I try to take advantage of reductions too. Though it's a little shop, so there aren't many.
I will aim for £250 for everything except the cat food.
Since the last post i have spent £4.32 at Morrisons on quorn burgers, chips (i was late home from work and hadn't the inclination to start peeling spuds) and mixed veg and £7.72 on sweets, pop, fruit and veg. Also, 95p on five jars of short dated sweet and sour at work which i blended and froze. I think i have added this already but not sure. I will have to check back through my posts. So, it should be £12.99 to add.

Dad and I went shopping together and he bought some of it for me.
Shall I just subtract what came out of my purse, or what was in the trolley?

Lynnejk,
I like your logic thank you. I will adjust my signature accordingly. It didn't feel quite right as it was, it was certainly spending I would have done anyway.
Cheers.A bit of grin and bear it, a bit of come and share it
