I don't finish July 'till 2moz, but I am under, so will use what's left of that budget, if I need to get some bits - it goes into an overflow jar. Can I be put down for £50 for the month - it's for 2 adults, but my daughter does buy a lot of her own food. I have so much in the freezer and cupboards and the fridge is full of veggies that need to be cooked up, so really want to try and focus on using things up rather than buying more. This to include everything, cleaning stuff, toilet rolls, etc, minus alcohol, though I am going to keep a strict eye on that as I can get very 'Miss Piggy Extravaganza' if I don't include it. Am going to write a meal plan hopefully later.
EDIT Ok - I say this with a very heavy heart, having re-thought, I have decided that any alcohol will come out of the overflow budget and when that is blown, which it will be, then out of the grocery budget - this will not include the odd night out, as I rarely do that, or any trips away.0 -
Wow, think I got the best reductions EVER this evening.
1 pack chicken drumsticks 23p
1 pack cooked chicken 15p
1 pack carrots 11p
2 packs of American bagels 16p (8p each)
1 cucumber 42p
TOTAL £1.07P
The chicken will my be donated to my parents, they will like that.
I also bought some alcohol, as I have house guests Monday, this will be deducted out of my Overflow fund.0 -
Hello my lovelies, I have joined... and rejoined... and rejoined (!) many times before, but I'm looking to make sure that we stick to a weekly food budget of £70.
Thank you!0 -
Morning all
£20.35 spent so far (and £20 of nectar points) mainly on ys items for DH for the freezer, beer and snacks and a £6 face scrub for DH. We seem to just time it right for ys when we go to the co-op after the gym during the week.
We ate out last night for my birthday bit this comes out of a separate budget.
Today I will be going to aldeeee to do my main shop for the week and will pop back to declare my new total.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
Can I be in for £240 again please?

The house is bare so it will be a tough month to do it.£36/£240

Went to bo a batch bake and all my flour had creepy crawlies so I ditched it and went to Mr T express as that's all we have here bar the coop. Stocked up on flour, fat and coffee which was on offer. £8.47 to add to total. Annoyed as it was the stock cupboard that had the nasties not the nearly finished packets in the daily use cupboard. Have put it all into L&L boxes now and emptied the stock cupboard. Everything needs using up anyway so maybe silver cloud and all that. All that clutter used to be money0

Dropped off the face of the earth with money saving after a few hectic months at work, need to get back on track. Can you put me down for £180 for the month please?
I'm technically 2 shops in as was paid on 25th and had ran out of lots of stuff- so have already spent £90. Better get scrimping. Gulp!August grocery challenge: £120/£1800 -
Hello all. Please could I join in
There are two of us and I would like to set a target of £200 to include toiletries and cleaning products too.
We grow a lot of fruit and veg and so I'm hoping that harvesting as much as I can will help keep us out of the supermarket as much as possible this month.
I look forward to giving this a go.0 -
£4.88 spent so far on packed lunch ingredients for the week.0
