Evening all,
Phew
I did dailies, and a bit of feeble hoovering. However I have washed, dried, ironed and put away four loads of washing, hooray for hot weather! I have also sat sweatily watching the school play twice.
Now having a nice glass of chilled vino. See you all tomorrow x0 -
Thrilled beyond measure to have seen a snake on my way home.
Way too hot to fly

Glad everyone is enjoying the sunshine...it got to 38 degrees in the caravan yesterday  That was with the curtains closed, Windows and doors open and the big fan on full blast. It wiped the dogs out completely and I resorted to standing in front of the garage freezer with the door open.
DH brought an air-conditioning unit home last night and boy, did that make a difference! I bet it rains today :rotfl:
No proper flying done here, but did make a start on building the new furniture for the boys' room, which now looks like a tip. Tiny is off to nursery this morning, then Boy Pup to the vets about his ears (again!), then Small has begged to make chocolate chip fairy cakes, which I should be able to manage today with aircon.
Trying to keep up with the thread, but struggling a bit. I'll make time for a cuppa later...0 -
Morning all. Lovely day again.
Meal out last night was lovely Lynne, thanks. They had air con. Lovely lady I gave a lift to gave me eggs from her hens and ducks too, so looking forward to doing something with those later.
So far today I have walked LittleyDog and done the dailies. I need to think about packing for our hols later (DD is taking our case in her car as we have passengers, the dog and food to take), but first DH and I are going to go out for a picnic at a castle.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Picnic sounds lovely.
Finally got the printer to work on my laptop.................blimey why do these things take so long...................

Morning
It's a bit cooler today which is good, we were stuck inside for most of yesterday afternoon as it was too hot for the kids outside. I hope everyone else gets to enjoy the sun!
Very jealous of those with air con, our house was boiling yesterday!

Millie has arrived; she's already "made her mark" in the garden, and is settling in. She doesn't care for other dogs, so we've decided on a route for walkies where she's less likely to encounter any.
Mr LW has ironed his shirt ready for the funeral tomorrow. I hope it isn't too hot, as my black outfit I intend wearing has long dangly sleeves, and I shall melt!If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
The squirrel has been back, snooping again!
This morning I have
- sent DH to play on the railway
- culled and rearranged 3 vases of flowers
- dusted and hoovered the LR, DR, kitchen and hall
- S&S'd kitchen and ensuite
- cut back the branches of the quince japonica that had suddenly grown and were blocking the front path
- got some cake out of the freezer for visitors this afternoon
It all took less than an hour put my feet up - then I put my feet up and decluttered a few zzz.
After my visitors have gone I need to do the baking that I postponed yesterday. Hopefully it will be a it cooler by then - the forecast is for thunderstorms at about 5 pm.
Hope everyone keeps cool today - enjoy your air-con, Dizzy!0
