    Morning all.

Hugs, sticks, spoons and vibes to all.

Tuesday was lost to laundry while I took advantage of the hot weather. I was melting but when jeans were drying in under an hour on the line I kept going ;)

Wednesday was lost to doggy stuff. Looking at insurance quotes etc as he's due a health check up at the vets and still not insured. Then I also spent some time working my way through emails etc as again I was melting. Went to collect DD from her school trip, left here at 6pm to be there for 7pm but they didn't get back until 8pm (one of the rides broke down with kids still on it apparently, so they were late setting off then hit traffic) then we walked home and didn't get in until 9pm. I took Zack for a walk at nearly 10pm last night as he's been asking to go out but its been too hot. He ran all the way and I was too tired to stop him!!

Today I'm working, and I know I have admin stuff to do this afternoon. Just going to peg the quilt Zacks been laying on out, then grab my stuff and take him for a walk while I collect the first lot of books. Its very quiet around here so I'm assuming a lot of the schools have already broken up and therefore not many books will be out :rotfl: DD finishes at 12, but is going straight to a belated birthday celebration for her best friend. I've told her to be in for 5pm (and she has grace until 5.30 as I know what the buses are like) as we have work tonight at 6pm.

Tomorrow I'll fly properly with DD's help whether she likes it or not ;) Then we can have our end of school year take-away for tea. WM is beeping so I best move

    Morning,

Much fresher here - but still glorious!

Since I'm with car again I'm popping out this morning - going to see a pic I thought I liked, but looking online it's says it's an LED one :rotfl: not sure about that although it could fit right into "disco kitchen" lol.

Perfect drying weather but I don't have much to wash and I might hang on till I have uniform. Although some of that will be going in the incinerator haha.

Done my kitchen dailies and need to pack this aft. Yes, Lynne I'm home alone next week - I have decorating planned but also a liquid lunch with friends and a night out planned :)

    Right, I'm away!

  • Morning all :)

Yesterday didn't go to plan, DH finished work early and we went into town, I did some clothes shopping and almost cried at how huge I am... then DH's dad popped by unexpectedly (which was fine, because the house was so tidy ;)) so I didn't get anything except my dailies done. It was lucky I didn't change the bedding as DS was sick on it last night, so that's in the machine now! Managed to do a bit so far this morning so...

    Steam kitchen floor
    Put away laundry!!!!!
[STRIKE] Change the bed, turn matress [/STRIKE]
Hoover the stairs, landing and bedroom
    [STRIKE] Wipe the window ledges[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]
    Clean toilets and sinks [/STRIKE]
    Change the towels
    Hoover and wipe the floor
    Wipe the splashbacks
    Clean out the plug holes
    Shine the mirrors
    Clean the bath and shower

I have clock and canvas on wall! Hung them myself :T with a drill and wall plugs and everything. Go me, lol.

It is an LED canvas but the bulbs are behind and invisible unless switched on. And it's actually not that gaudy - think the kids will love it. It's a black and white scene of New York with a suspension bridge (this is the bit that's lit up) in the foreground. Me likey.

I've vacced up all the plaster dust and put away my new cloths. I shall ditch the grotty old ones.

I'm just having :coffee: and a butty then I will head upstairs to suitcase land...

Bossy I think I've seen the canvas you are describing and it does look lovely.

Just nipped out for a wedding anni card for Dh

Got some washing in the wm and salad ready for lunch.
Ds2 is enjoying the fundraising part of his Ncs month, they are fundraising for the Red Cross, so far they've managed to blag a free room for Friday's planning meeting in the local library, a local Indian restaurant has agreed to host a meal their for £16 a head with £8 of every ticket they sell going to the Red Cross, got a couple of shops to donate prizes for a raffle and a days charity bag packing at the local tosco. Plus he's persuaded dd3 to bake cupcakes for a cake stall. If the other 18 members of the team have worked as hard as him and his gf they should raise a fair bit.

    Hello all.

Mrs MP - charity stuff sounds fantastic
Bossy - canvas sounds lovely. I'm waiting for one to arrive (not exactly the same) but my neighbour has taken it in for me and has now gone out

Today, I have been shopping in York with DH and managed a very early walk with LittleyDog. Going to sit and read now, and then redo my nails.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Sorry to hear about the poorly Bearcub - GWS vibes winging their way to the Bear's den x
Well done to your son and his team, mrs-mp :T

The gooseberry cakes are made and DS1 is collecting his tomorrow when he brings us the contents of their fridge and Marigold the (live) chicken to take care of while they are on holiday. I'm hoping she will lay some of her nice eggs for us. DS1 says she hasn't given them any for a week or two, but he thinks that maybe she has been visited by greedy squirrels who can get through the large mesh of the chicken run. While Marigold is with us, she will be in her eglu run which is squirrel proof. No egg abductions here, please!

My foot did not enjoy the hot weather yesterday and got very swollen, which makes the scar painful. It's considerably cooler today and I am trying to rest it as much as possible. I put an ice pack (i.e. bag of frozen sweetcorn kept especially for the purpose) on it after lunch and it's feeling a bit better now.

I have been carrying on with sorting the paperwork which continues to breed, also hung out WMx3 loads and am waiting for the next one to finish. DH has gone out for a walk and to post a card at the Post Office for me. We have a friend coming to tea - bolognese is made and just needs assembling into a lasagne.

I have just noticed a pigeon-shaped mark on the study window - it looks like one tried to fly straight through.

Hope everyone has the best possible day today (thinking especially of LW), and for those who are going away on holiday "Have a great time!" x
