Aww, glad the funeral went well LW hope you can get some down time today. 51 is no age at all, is it?
Done a fair bit of pottering here, including a wash, and cutting the grass, the newly seeded bits were ridiculously long! Had to empty the basket 3 times - most of the garden is paved!
Put all tools away that I'd left out in the garage, and organised dining room as needed for storage. I have three piles - charity, bin and kitchen lol. Once the electrician has been the kitchen stuff can actually go in the kitchen!
Done a bit of admin, I was due some partnership shares from ex-work and the certificate arrived so I'm sending that to my online broker to put in my account. Also checked my pension to make sure redundancy monies were added. So all finances up to date here.
Need to write on the summer planner that I'm babysitting for mum one day next month, suspect it may end up being more than once... no problem as those kiddies are really settled down in her care now.
Right, battery about to go so I'll sign off and potter again until school time!Bossymoo

Hi all
Trying not to just come on here and moan but I am feeling a bit out of sorts. Struggling to juggle everything. Today included both paid stuff, a trip to the hairdressers, a visit to the bank, a visit to Li@l, a birthday card to deliver, home to pick DS up and take him to the hairdressers, home again to make tea then back to the laptop to do more paid stuff.
DS2 has to be at school at 4am for a school trip so we are both camped out in the LR. Going to shut my eyes soon. DH is tucked up in bed of course, as with everything else at the moment taking DS to school in the middle of the night is my responsibility it seems.
Ah well, its Saturday! And I might actually get outside today, havent seen much of this nice weather so far.0 -
(((Hugs))) YL. I hope you get some sleep tonight and some sunshine tomorrow.0

YL where is your son off to on his school trip, I thought the schools had all finished for the summer.
Lunches made for the next 2 days for both of us
Cat fed, he now asleep in the sun shine
Eby parcel packed up, just need to get dressed and to the post office for when it opens
Other general stuff done, currently I seem to be leading a same same each day type life...............Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Hope your DS got away on his holibobs on time this morning Yorkie. You have my sympathies regarding other halves abdicating responsibility for kids if it involves leaving their beds. Mine can sleep through WWIII it seems. Either that, or he just ignores the fighting, knowing I'll sort it out...
Lovely Mr NDN fixed our mower while I was out yesterday! I'd just got back in and was washing up a few things in the caravan when he came steaming past on the mower grinning like a naughty schoolboy. Apparently I had broken a safety cut-out switch, which he has sorted and has unbent the cutting deck, oiled and cleaned some vital components. He's a superstar!
When DH got home he went over to give him a bottle to say thanks, but he refused to take it saying having us as neighbours after the awful people before was all the thanks he needed. Awww...shucks....
Off to Chester shopping this morning. Tiny needs a new car seat and I want to visit a kitchen showroom there to price up our design with them, to see what they would charge.
Also had one of the builder's prices in for the repairs  still waiting for the other two, but needed to sit down. Thank goodness for good insurance!
Right, small people need dunking and DH turning out of his pit. And so the day begins...0 -
Morning all.
Nice NDNs are wonderful, aren't they, Dizzy? :T
Our house guest arrived yesterday, escorted by DS1 and DGD2. Marigold has settled happily in her eglu on the lawn outside the lounge window and I've heard a few gentle clucks. Very soothing.
DH has gone off to play trains all day today, and we have the delights of bingo and a fish and chip supper at church to look forward to this eveeing - we sure know how to live the dream! :rotfl:
DH took me out to lunch yesterday at another of our many local garden centres, but this one is special, being independent and a Chelsea award winner (for hepaticas), and the food in their cafe is delicious. We sat in the shade, and started with a sensible salad but then had a huge slice of cake each. I doubt that the SW scales will be as kind to me next week as they were this Tuesday.
So today my plan is
- stick mainly to fruit and salad
- shower upstairs so that I can then...
- S&S bathroom
- S&S kitchen
- feed Marigold
- WM x1
- QHI
- computer work
- put feet up on sofa when necessary
- plant out alpines (yesterday's impulse buy) once the sun goes off the raised bed
Best get moving! Have a good day, everyone x0 -
Morning all.
We didn't get much done off the list yesterday, it was just way too hot. DD did wash up, then S&S the kitchen while I dealt with 2 baskets of dry washing that needed folding.
I'm hoping today can be more productive. Right now I'm going to transfer files from DD's comp to mine, then pay bills before ex arrives and wants to upgrade it to w*ndows 10. DD is just walking Zack
Best get moving! :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
