Morning all. Hope you're all ok. Welcome to newbies and returners.

So I'm late in this week but have had a quick read through. Glad the wedding was brilliant CY, was thinking about you all day.

Sunday was as predicted here, doing nothing much except popping out for a meal and cutting the grass back and front.

Yesterday, I had a hospital appointment, then got my hair cut (still looking sleek this morning so I won't wash it today) and then just sat in the garden for the afternoon.

So far today I have caught up with my Mondailies. LittleyDog is refusing to go for walks at the moment, just wants to sit in front of the fan so the rest of today is looking like this:

    Clean car
Potter/sit in garden (I will do the read a book task from Natty's list).
    Meal out with friends tonight

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning All,

Just a flying visit from me (no pun intended!)

Child free today for around 5 hours, and I plan on doing naff all :p I am already wilting in the heat so just going to gently potter and take it easy. I do need to nip to the PO to post my ebay sales but thats about it.

Kiddies didnt sleep well last night due to the heat so I might try and buy some fans today - what's the betting everywhere has sold out?

I hope to see Piggers posting again soon xx
Dizzy honey have a virtual hug and a virtual glass of Pimms to make it easier xx

To all of us who are always rushing around (which is all of us!) try to take at least ten minutes today to drink a nice cold drink and feel the sun xx
    Big hugs all round xx

  • Good morning all :)

    Yesterday I only managed to
Sort out and wipe out the fridge
    Do a load of laundry
    Email DD's preschool

My husband has just left for work and gets back between 4 and 5, then leaves at 5.30 and doesn't get back until after 9.30, so it is a bit harder to get anything done today! But today I'm going to aim for:

    Hoover/wipe the sofas
    S&S the sink and toilet
    Dust the TV stand

    Wipe the windowledge
Go through kids toybox & throw out anything broken
    Steam kitchen floor
    Put away laundry

I hovered the floors yesterday as it sends my son off to sleep, I'll hoover the sofa when he needs a nap!

    Scorchio!

No paid stuff today, but it is the school leavers play, which I have to go to (twice) as although my dd1's not a school leaver, she is in the supporting cast because she is in the choir. I can wait to be squashed up with a load of sweaty parents in the school hall.

Frodders can't really help with the bathroom cost. We are renovating the whole house, but doing it mostly ourselves. OH has done our new bathroom all himself, getting most of the stuff on fleabay. I've lost track of how much we've spent! I do know we got some massive bargains though.

ATB I'm going to take up your suggestion of sitting in the sun at some point. I will have my lunch out in the garden.

So, this morning the house is a tip as I didn't do anything yesterday and also we had our new fancypants cooker delivered this morning (new kitchen is about a year away, but this is another fleabay bargain - OH says you've got to get them when you see them, even though it means storing it somewhere until we need it Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr) so anyway there is stuff everywhere as a result of getting it into the house and making room for it.

Right stop waffling and get on with it.

Before 12 I need to do daily stuff, tidy generally, dust and hoover all through, water what plants I have outside, find a new home for the bedding box (cooker kicked it out).

Then this afternoon after the play I will wash my car (if not too hot) clean the interior, pop to the chazzer with the bags i have sorted recently and pick up some dog food.

    Wish me luck!

Ps never said thanks for lists natty x

    Morning all

Its already way too warm for me and Zack :( Jobs are being done in 10-15 minute bursts when they involve moving around and a good half hour sat down inbetween. :p

Since I'm a list maker anyway, I started a bullet journal yesterday and so far I'm loving it. I'm only using a spare exercise book that DD had but I think I might treat myself to a nice proper notebook to use as I need narrower lines and one where the lines (or maybe the dots...not decided yet) fill the entire page. ;) Anything is better than multiple notebooks on the go, often with the same things on the lists day after day...and I'm going to get a smaller one for me to use for work. That'll be slightly differently set up since that's on a 3 week schedule most of the time but hopefully it'll stop me forgetting things (as I scribble something else down I'd forgotten to do with work).

Tue: Pay bills, update finances, work
    Wed: DD trip
Thu: collect books, end of term
Sat : Zacks 4th birthday! :D Sausage for tea ;)

    Tue (Personal)
    Sewing: jeans, another dog toy
Laundry: cleaning cloths 90, cleaning cloths 40, Jeans, dark, light, white, bedding, towels x3
    Delivery after 7pm

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level Two
    Hoover and mop the floor
Sort out and wipe out the fridge
    Level Three
Clean the WM filters and drawer - got to finish the laundry first

Tuesday - Living room & hall
    Only got 15 minutes

    Hoover/wipe the sofas
    30 minutes to spare
    Hoover the floor
    Got an hour
    HH tidying, decluttering, sorting
Wipe some paintwork, skirting boards, behind the toilet/sink

I'm going to go and dig the fan out from under the stairs, clean it up and set it going. I'm sweating just sitting here

Hello again. I have weeded and deadheaded out the back. Planted some leeks. Put the garlic to dry. Washed up the breakfast dishes. Cleaned the car inside and out. Plan to just do jobs (probably more weeding) until noon and then just enjoy the sun for the rest of the afternoon. I have reading to do as per Natty's instructions.

Hot here too, but our living room is about as cool as it can be, with the patio doors open and a pleasant breeze wafting through the house. I don't like sitting out in the sun and getting too hot.

Had a nice day with my course-writing colleague here yesterday - she is an old friend from uni, nearly half a century ago! Together with DH we held a charity Trustees' meeting in the morning, and in the afternoon the two of us started to re-write the course which has been giving me trouble. We hope we've begun to crack it now. We will know when we've got it right because it will almost write itself, which it certainly hasn't been doing up to now. Back to first principles and all that.

This morning I have been with DH to SW and find I have decluttered 3 lb since my last visit in June, despite the metal work and swelling in my foot. It was good to see friends again too :D

WMx1 has finished while we were out and is now in the TD. Wasteful of electricity, I know, and it goes against all my principles, but DH is in one of his moods and will only moan if I ask him to put up the whirligig, or would complain even more if I tried to do it myself.

I have also watered the very thirsty tomato plants and petunias in pots, which DH didn't do yesterday because the TV was more enthralling

This afternoon DH is going to the big railway and will have to do a bit of shopping that he forgot yesterday. This evening he is off to model railway club, so I can do what I like. After lunch I plan to rest for a while, write up the meeting Minutes and the notes from our other discussions yesterday, prepare an easy tea in the oven and at the same time bake gooseberry cakes for us and DS1 from my super-easy German recipe.

    Lunch first!

(((Hugs))) spoons, sticks and parasols all round, as needed x
