  • Has anybody else had there LCH holiday booked through YouTravel? I was told by them that I needed to pay them directly which I did but they increased the price by €350. Apparently it has to be a new booking so is on July hotel rates and not the original rate that I booked at. Disputing it as my invoice still has the booking as original date and original booking reference.

    My booking was as follows:
"Lowcostholidays Spain, S.L.U. is acting in its capacity as a retail agent for Lowcostbeds.com AG, who have made your booking with CosmosSTS for booking ref CosmosSTS 1xxxxx3."
The hotel said all LCH bookings cancelled but as mine was via CosmosSTS I should contact them. Tried Cosmos Tours but no go.
    Anyone know anything about CosmosSTS?
Or is this a blind alley?
    Thanks for any help.

They will likely be a local operator supplying LCB, though not a very familiar name. In which destination is your hotel located?

    It's in Madeira.
  • Who is your agent? They are obliged to cover the replacement accommodation. i would report them to the CAA then start tweeting about your problem with them, its the surest way to get them to respond

Well I'm assuming Lowcostholidays was my agent, so no point tweeting about them...

Not familiar with a CosmosSTS supplying in Madeira, but there are many incoming operators in the world. Perhaps ask the hotel if hey can give you contact details for CosmosSTS.

Christabel, if it's the same as the cover provided by Halifax ultimate reward with axa and it likely is, you can only claim when all other avenues have been denied, I.e section 75 and chargeback. Check the details at back if it states 'if there is no other way to get your money back'
  • Thank u for reply !! I didn't pay on credit card, and thought charge back was not a garanteed claim as bank won't get money bk??? Also not sure if I've gone over the chargeback day limit??? As paid in January. Some one on the other message board said they had a NO from axa/lloyds platinum so wondered if anyone else had yes or no ??
Takes 10day to review claim and I'm just nervously looking for answers as get so many mixed messages !!!!
