its all down to this request in post #1 by the OP

I have been advised I may be able to appeal against this decision.

I have no knowledge of the legal side of this and I find it extremely sad and disheartening that it was dealt with in this way.

Does anyone have any help & advice as I feel that this decision from the court is unjust

the OP can always report the owners name and blue badge number to the local council social services and let them investigate if he or she has misused the badge and could be liable for prosecution - but I doubt that they will do so in case it happens

the OP does not have a valid Blue Badge
REALLY .... how do you know that
I dont have to explain anything at all
    ODD ..

you said I was wrong regarding the fact that the matter could be reported to the police , yet the evidence I have linked and shown proves otherwise
Never said anything of the sort, I said the police would not be interested

this OP has asked questions and I have given advice that this OP should take onboard , which I am entitled to do under the forum rules and there is nothing to stop me bringing up any issue I think is relevant , especially as I have had a BB much longer than you or your relatives and greater experience of these matters than most people on here (except CM of course)
You are entitled to bring up any issue any time. Does not matter how long you have had your BB, we all fall within the same time category until it is updated

when you wish to be sensible about this then maybe I will reply, but right now you are being silly and childish, as coupon mad correctly pointed out

Sensible about what ? I answered the "silly bit" to coupon-mad but as you know she never said childish ?

the saying around here is , act your age , not your shoe size
Now you are being very silly

QUESTION .... are you into scarying people away from this site
My motive being on this site is to right the wrongs, what about you ?

    until tomorrow

As a for instance, on Monday I needed to pick something up urgently from a local bank and my wife was out, they have two disabled bays on the front the rest park around the back. As I arrived a car was in a disabled bay a young lady jumped out and ran into the bank. I parked around the back, after making my way to the entrance having to stop 3 times and sit on the crash barrier due to pain. I wasn't best pleased as I walked past the car the man had a BB on his dash, I stopped and asked him if the badge was his to which he replied yes.

I explained to him that I was disabled have a blue badge and needed to go into the Bank, yet had to park around the back. His reply was well he had a blue badge, to which I answered yes but you are using it for the young ladies convenience, and not for you're need. The lady can walk around the back easily I cant, and you do not need to use the facilities of a disabled space as you are not getting out of the car.

I still don't think he got it so hopefully he will do the same thing in front of a council CEO or an enforcement officer and rightfully get a real ticket.

Thanks to this pillock I had to spend most of Tuesday with ice packs on my knees.

Maybe they should have a theory test with questions regarding the use of blue badges before issuing them.

In this instance maybe the OP did not realize they were not using the blue badge as it should be used, hopefully they now do! (unfortunately after enriching a PPC)

This is before we get to using a disabled nil taxed car and the misuse that goes on there.

Unfortunately most PPC's abuse the blue badge scheme also, looking out for the smallest slip.

    .[/QUOTE]

you are right ... when my mum got her BB for my car, it was done on the assessment from her doctor and that was it.
Sounds like another flaw in to be looked at

For goodness sake the OP has been back three times this morning obviously got the message that the thread is of little use now, said a few words and departed.

BG you are not going to make any inroads, very few of your comments are being agreed with, why not call it a day like the OP seems to have.

I'm really hesitant to reignite this thread so please forgive me.

In hindsight there seem to be some very interesting lessons to be learned here.

Obviously the PPC's case was that no badge was displayed, end of, give us the money and that was how it was also judged.

The 'fluttering' ticket in fact was just mitigation, and was of no use in the appeal, but might have been used in a complaint to ASDA as they would not have twigged it was being used incorrectly.

I am trying to put myself in the OP's position, and previously I would have also tried to use the dementia card as you would think it was a winner. But it is in fact irrelevant.

Funny old game isn't it, just shows how important it is to come to the forum for advice.

She did not need advice Grandad, all she had to do was comply with the T&C of the BBS, even on private land.
