Bob, I am sorry to hear about Buggalugs
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
  • It's an odd day today.

It's sunny, but also trying to snow.
  • I've added one more item to my Hospital Grab Bag, a bottle of Radox Shower Gel.

Hospital shower gel comes in tiny sachets.

You need about half a dozen, to have what is still, a rather unsatisfactory shower. :(

:) We were supposed to have had heavy showers but they are light, and consist of tiny flakes of dry snow. Bitterly cold wind blowing them about. though.

Just demanded to know what a couple of dodgy geezers were doing loitering on one of our stairwells, which they didn't like at all. Yestereve, SG came out of her flat and found another couple of characters freebasing by her flat, ordered them to clear off out of it, they went down outside another old lady's flat, she ordered them to get themselves gone, and they were heard to mutter to themselves as they left Huh, they're not very friendly round here! :rotfl:

Makes me wonder what neighbourhoods are friendly to junkies. Bet they don't get these kind of problems up on Acacia Avenue.

it must be difficult not to hope she will just wander in wanting her dinner.

There are a few possibilities as to what has happened to her.

    1. She's found herself somewhere quiet to die. This seems likely, as I understand this is what cats often do.

    2. She's been run down. This seems unlikely, as my street is very quiet, and we are a fair distance from a main road.

    3. She's got herself lost, and either wandered off completely, or found herself a new home. This is a possibility.

    4. She's been snatched/taken in, by someone who found her wandering. Given how approachable she's become lately, this is also a possibility.

Personally, I'm leaning toward option 1.

Whatever has happened, after 8 weeks, I'm not holding up much hope of her returning.

You are probably right, Bob. From what you have said before, she would have been back long before now. Blessings upon that grand old lady cat, may she be at peace wherever she is.

:D Then get back indoors, yer daft beggar!

Sorry to hear about Buggalugs, I agree that she's probably taken herself off somewhere quietly to die; it's a cat thing.

  • The snow has stopped, at least for the moment, but it has most definitely stuck. :(
  • Snowing again, and the wind is getting up.

Dread to think what it'll be like by morning.
