    Hi
we have submitted our application today.
It’s taken 4 months to get to this point as our developer was waiting to be added to help to buy scheme which we are using!

I feel very excited to finally submit.

    just hope it goes through!

    good luck everyone x

    Thank you.
Yes I will. I’ve been stalking this thread since December.
I am not overly hopeful never even thought it a possibility but decided to give it a go.

Our authority to proceed from help to buy was submitted on Monday and given to us on the Thursday so really quick.

our broker said if usually takes 4 weeks which seems like forever!
  •  We completed today! Actually a really smooth process. We got our offer 3 weeks and 6 days after full application. Pleasantly surprised that there was no backwards and forwards of questions that we were preparing ourselves for. We had a fab broker that we found on here which I presume helped massively. @haras_n0sirrah

    Wooo! Congrats both

Anyone that’s mortgage has gone through. Do you get the valuation fee refunded?
We completed on March 8 and have never had our valuation fee refunded. It mentioned nothing about it in our offer pack though

Luckyfin could I ask bit bout your background? Defaults? Ccjs? Etc..
  • Sure. No ccjs. A few defaults over 2 years old. I would recommend speaking to a good broker. Ours knew what they would require and got everything up front rather than waiting for them to ask for things as we went along.

Scary times! Fingers crossed we all get the outcome we want.
Will keep everyone updated on my progress in case it helps anyone out!
  • Once you’ve had your offer and have signed is it pretty much a sure thing?
