Sorry I forgot to update - we got our mortgage offer last Thursday!!! 18 months of hard work sorting finances, saving a 25% deposit but we managed to finally get an offer. We was so chuffed and still are - just the legal side of things for the solicitors to sort now! Phew!

The solicitor side of things almost feels like a walk in the park after that 6week emotional slog hahahaha

Hi all, I have been lurking for a few weeks. So lovely to hear everyone’s success stories.

We currently have an application in. My husband has a immaculate credit record. Mine however is quite the opposite with several Defaults from 5-6 years ago.

Our application has been in several weeks. We have been asked for extra bank statements, P60’s and identity verification. The valuation report came back a couple of weeks ago and all was good.

We have a 50% deposit and affordability shouldn’t be a an issue. However I do keep having that sinking feeling that we are not going to get a positive response. I think that’s mainly due to the very long and drawn out process.

    Loosing sleep 😴

It sounds like it shouldn’t be an issue at all! Especially with it being so long ago and your partner having good credit! Fingers crossed you hear soon
  • We are also waiting to hear back! Application went on the 25th March and valuation done on the 1st April
