Excellent, well done! Any idea why he just paid up, or was it his mother?

Thank you for the update. Too seldom do we get to find out the end of the "story".

I'm convinced it was his mother, bless her. I owe her dinner and a proper catch up soon. I've no doubt without her intervention I'd have never heard from him again and would probably be blocked on Facebook by now.

Happy to deliver the great news. Funny thing is, he still owes me another 6 quid as I had to loan it to him a couple of weeks ago as he lost his key and had to go get another one cut. Ironically enough, the key is useless now as I changed the locks - and I bet if I press him that'll be his excuse as to why he shouldn't have to pay for it... :rotfl:

You gonna chase him for the six quid? His reaction would be priceless.

Maybe you could video his reaction and put it on YouTube... is there a law against that? :D

Or you could tie the useless key up in a ribbon, like a pendant, and present it to him, perhaps?

I'm sorry, but irresponsible children who think the world owes them a living because they are breathing get right on my ... We have a couple just like that the other side of the party wall. Such fun.
  • Tbh i would have changed the locks anyway after his antics.

Goodness knows what he'd do if he had access.

You've got the rent back, glad to hear it, but umm.., you thought it worth mentioning he still owes £6? I'd give up while you are winning.
