ParkingDirect

First Post..On the 22nd of June we received a parking fine notice regarding my wife's car ..it was reported to have been parked somewhere in Oxford on the 18th June..She had sold this car on the 17th June..She contacted the company and explained she wasn't the owner of the car and also said then the bill of sale..Today 4th of July we received another letter from Parking Direct asking us for the same detail as the first letter..My wife once again phoned that company and she was getting upset by the person at that firm..I then spoke to them saying how annoyed we were on receiving another letter..and said I wished to complain to someone...the person hung up on me.. We have no intention of paying this fine..I then wrote an e mail to Parking Direct but The crafty blighters had disarmed that facility..I was very annoyed to think that firms like that could bully and dictate to people in the way they did..Who do I contact to pass on our disgust of this firm? I feel they also owe us some redress for the time involved and expense we went to contact them..My copy of e mail I tried to send them...
Hi..I wish to complain of your heavy hand and bullying tactics regarding a parking fine to a car which is no longer in our possession and was never in our possession on the date the fine was issued..Your person on the phone this morning to me was very unclear in speech and very unhelpful ..you were sent detail of the sale of this car 10 days ago.. and this is the second call we have had to make to your office..We have just contacted the DVLA and they have informed us once again that we are no longer the owner of this car..We have put ourselves out regarding this matter by phoning you twice and posting the info you asked for..Take notice..there is a £40 charge to your company for this e-mail and any other contact from you will be charged at £100 a time..I shall be reporting this matter to higher authorities including a warning to online discussion forums..do hope you understand the hurt that your firm has given to my wife has reduced her to tears...Bryan Guy

Awful wall of text but if you think you are going to get a penny from any PPC for your time, you're really really wasting your time.

Although the DVLA have correct details now, it can take 7 plus days for them to update their records. You need to know the date they updated the record and also confirm to you but you should have received an acknowledgement slip from the DVLA
Assuming that you did everything correctly as required on the V5C,
be it a motor trader or a private buyer, then pass the new keepers details to Parking Direct. If you issued a sales receipt even better

All these PPC's are the same, plain ignorant

They will have probably obtained your details before the DVLA updated, that is why you need to track the dates.

Never phone these scammers, always in writing with proof of posting or email with copy, you cannot show a judge a phone call.

I misspelt the name of this company..It should read PARKDIRECTUK..they are not members of The British Parking Association so cannot report them...Some very disturbing news about this company on MSE

parkdirect left the BPA on 01/05/2016 and are now skipping along at the IPC

however their website and no dout there signage refers to the BPA
