Brian, there is no need to put up with this nonsense. Issue them with a cease and desist notice warning them that if they do not cancel this and apologise you will take legal action against them. Include an invoice for £40, as per your much earlier letter.
If they do not pay it, issue a MCOL, it is no big deal and could cost them £££s to defend so they are likely to cave. You hold all 13 trumps here. Squeeze them until their voice breaks.

Thanks for your reply..some very good advice there..I still cant believe that ParkDirectUK are still pursuing this as its so quite simple what has happened here..They should have been contacted by the Car Parking association with the complaint I lodged with them..A lady by the name of Esme supposed to have dealt with it.. Although I do wonder if that association is just a front to make things look official like.. Will see if we get any more invoices from them before deciding what further action we will take..Cheers..Bryan0 -

Well goodness gracious me.. I have received a threatening letter from DRP which is Debt Recovery Plus Ltd..signed by a James Hollins...he is demanding I pay him £160 as he has been instructed by ParkDirectUK as we have not paid them ...Who employs all these dipsticks?..as you all know there is no case to answer as the car involved does not belong to my wife..they have the evidence from us to prove it..They have given us an ultimatum to pay by the 29/08/2016 and if we haven't then they will take court action. I would like to see them go ahead with that..:T..In the threatening letter James Hollins sent it goes on to highlight a landmark court decision on the 4th November 2015...trying to put the frighteners on us...lol..that just isn't going to work..I e.mailed him with my intensions but as yet he hasn't responded..still sitting on the toilet I expect...lol.. once again I just cant believe its got to this stage..Unbelievable in fact..The good thing to come out of this is it highlights what a lot of cowboy outfits that are out there..also it has made me more aware how much a problem this is for some people..might be a good idea to boycott retail sites etc that use these cowboys..I was hoping that ParkDirectUK were involved with our local retail sites but alas no..will let you know how things turn out..sorry for waffling on..cheers..Bryan:j0 -

The infamous DRP who fail to grasp that the advice is to ignore them.
Dipsticks indeed, another wasted letter with silly claims.

How have you got on with the advice given by The Deep in post #42?
This is the probably best way now of stopping them in their tracks.
I haven't trawled back through the whole thread, but have you complained to the DVLA about this? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi..yes, it was very good advice but decided not to go up that route for one reason..I want to cost these people as much money as I can..That would be a real bonus now..
Yes,I contacted DVLA at the start making a complaint about the way the whole way these parking companies operate ..also contacted BPA as well with the same complaint..had acknowledgement from both which is what I wanted as I now have that noted..Had ParkDirectUK had in a place a e-mail facilty all this could have been avoided..Incidently in the three "invoices" from them there was no signature at the bottom who had actually sent it..I am not a legal by any means but in threatening letters like this I would have thought it would have been a legal right to have it signed...something fishy about the whole case..it stinks to be honest...Ive spent a lot of time on line creating quite a profile on what is going on...don't worry I shall be charging both companies £19 and hour for my time..about 20 hours so far and if this continues it might throw me in the upper tax bracket..have to say many people know about this as I have posted it on my timeline on Facebook...and many have shared this to theirs as well..so,it will be very interesting where all this goes..:j Many thanks for reading...cheers..Bryan0 -

What exactly did you complain about to the DVLA? Was it a general rant about parking companies, or did you report the specifics about the fact that ownership had transferred the day before the parking charge?don't worry I shall be charging both companies £19 and hour for my time..about 20 hours so far and if this continues it might throw me in the upper tax bracket..have to say many people know about this as I have posted it on my timeline on Facebook
You do realise that costs at the small claims court are very restricted - if you think you might get 20 hours x £19 you're going to have to have a very good story (and evidence) to tell/show the judge - good luck with that one. And if it became known that you are hoping to string this along to jack up the 'pain' on the PPC and DCA, you could easily find yourself being deemed to be acting unreasonably - and that's when unlimited costs can be awarded ....... against you!
Be careful what you might wish for. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Wasted a stamp on the BPA - ParkDirect UK are an IPC member, but no point complaining there as they are even more protective of their membership than the BPA.

The only way you're going to charge them is to issue a LBCCC followed by a MCOL (as per The Deep's advice).

Erm ... before you go on a rant, how about reading what was actually posted? IPC does not equal BPA, so if you emailed the BPA then they wouldn't give a monkeys what an IPC member company was doing.

So what has the BPA said to you if you feel you haven't wasted a stamp?
What has the DVLA said to you?I get the impression that your not trying to help but seem to be sticking up for these cowboys
You also seem to have accused Guy's Dad of the same possible complicity. Two of the heavy lifters on this forum slighted by you, keep going and you'll have no one else to help, there aren't many of us left! You really are biting the hands of those who could feed you here.
