Jbut hen the second letter came from them dated 29th June asking for written confirmation from the DVLA regarding ownership..My wife phoned them and once again explained it isn't her car..the women on the phone got quite irate whereby I took over the car..the woman then hung up on me..What concerns me is that this company has the logo BPA on its letter but is not them...will await your reply before contacting my MP...kind regards...Bryan Guy

Not much else I can do at this stage but wait...lol.. once again thanks for your advice...hope I don't get accused of bad text again like someone remarked..lol.. Cheers...Bryan

What is the point of your wife phoning them if they wanted to see proof that she wasn't the owner of the vehicle at the time?

I do not condone PPCs at all, but it seems this problem arises from the time gap between you advising the DVLA of the change and them updating their system and the PPC contacting them in the gap. That does not make them a non bona fide company.

Yes, they could re contact the DVLA themselves, but asking you to send them proof from the DVLA does not seem too unreasonable.

Hi Guy's Dad..(wish people would use their own names)Your missing the whole point of what I have written like many that have replied.. The car in Question which was my wife's car was sold to a person in the Oxford area on the 17th of June ..They came down to Somerset to purchase it..Then obviously after the sale went back to Oxford with the car..We posted the Details to the DVLA the following day...On the Saturday 18th June at 19.01 it was reported to have been parked at an address in Banbury Road Oxford with out a permit..My wife received a letter on Friday 24th June with a parking charge notice..she then phoned Parking Direct to say she no longer owned the car..they told her they needed proof of the sale..she then posted that to them..We thought that would be the end of the matter..She then received another letter a few days ago asking for the bill of sale again..She phoned them again to explain that she had already done that..I took over the phone call as my wife was getting upset by the womens attitude..this women then hung up on me...We have done all of what they wanted...Obvious to me the car in question could not have had a ticket placed on its windscreen as the present owners would have know about it.. My mention of it not being a bona fide company comes about the many comments that have been made on this forum plus the use on their letter of the the BPA logo when they do not belong to them.. as I have said I have written to DVLA and also the BPA regarding this matter..which I hope I shall have more information in time...Hey,we are not guilty party in this case..lol.. Something is obviously not right with the way these matters are dealt with...Do hope you understand what I have tried to explain..Cheers Bryan

"Hi Guy's Dad..(wish people would use their own names)"

With the PPC scumbags that monitor this forum looking for victims to target, there is a very good reason that "own names" are not recommended on here!;)

Thanks for explaining that Jim...if that's the case maybe the PPC whoever reads this take note..I am awaiting responses from DVLA and also the PPA.. I cant get in touch with ParkDirectUK by e mail because they have disarmed that facility..which to me seems an admission of guilt on their behave..It also appears that the whole private parking industry needs to be investigated very thoroughly..I shall be contacting my MP which is James Heappey as soon as ive had a response from DVLA and PPA of course ..Must add that until we had the notification from ParkDirectUK we had no idea these things were going on..Us Somerset yokels have never heard of such things.. So,take note ParkDirectuk, you need to get your house in order...get your e mail address back on line...and also employ people who can talk plainly and courteously...Cheers...Bryan

Just what will you be complaining to your MP about? The DVLA taking more than a day to update their database or the PPC using the name of the keeper supplied by the DVLA from their then-current database? Or the fact that Park Direct don't have a mailbox? Or that he voted Remain???

!!!!!! - if you do as C-m or I suggest, then they either cancel or cost themselves a bundle. It's no big deal - at least outside Somerset. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

All the PPC's are animals and complete low life, they only want your money .... customer service is zero with these cowboys.

Nothing more you can do with ParkDirectuk, wait for the DVLA to respond.
Your MP will already know about the scandal and will probably come back with a complete load of tosh.
It has been said on here that the government are too involved in Brexit but if that was the case and ministers and their departments did nothing but Brexit, this country would crash

The PPC industry use the scam as a cash cow and it has been said many times that "back handers" go on, you must make up your own mind.

It is great story for your local newspaper

Bryan, parking companies belong to so called accredited organisations which are the BPA (British Parking Association) or the IPC (International Parking Community)
This gives them the authority to access info from the DVLA.
Approved by government. It is only the keeper info they can obtain.
Hence it is always said on here never to declare who the driver is as they do not know.
In your case the driver is the person who purchased your car.
So just wait to see what the DVLA say
