Put a bad review up on TripAdvisor if this was a visitor facility in Oxford, or complain to the landowner/retailer if it was a retail car park.

Hope you realise that, even if you had not sold the car and had incurred a 'ticket' from a private company, not to pay? Absolutely rotten industry, recently supported by the Supreme Court in the infinite wisdom of rich Judges who clearly haven't a clue about the real problem with private car parks (the so-called 'parking operators' are the pariah/parasitical moneygrabbing mickey-takers, not the driver customers).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Whether it's the BPA or IPC, they are all as thick as thieves and all part of the scammers club
No point in trying to talk to the brain dead.

The advice is always never to phone the vermin but that's in the past now, you now in writing, tell PARKDIRECTUK who the new registered keeper is and the date they purchased your car.
Let PARKDIRECTUK argue it out with DVLA

As I am certain you have proof that your car was purchased on the date stated, no court would accept such a claim.

Just forget about PARKDIRECTUK after you have told them who the new keeper is. They probably will continue by sending you very silly debt collector letters which you 100% IGNORE as being more brain dead scammers. If you do get a court claim issued by PARKDIRECTUK (the debt collectors cannot do that despite wild threats of what could happen), as long as you have proof who is the new registered keeper on the day of the ticket, it's a no brainer, you can claim costs on a win.

It would be plain stupidity for PARKDIRECTUK to continue. But as they are NOT the smartest card in the pack ... who knows ?

As the Parking Prankster says, PARKDIRECTUK is a amateurishness
company who probably don't have a clue what time of day it is

AS far as the rudeness, arrogance and ignorance of the staff, we cannot blame the lackies, they are trained by the bosses ?

I concur, it is indeed the Supreme Court judges who are now answerable and responsible for the huge scam currently hitting the UK motorists all over the UK

Michael Gove, the Secretary of State for Justice, the back stabber, .... you really are taking the p**s. Off you go before you say something you will regret

Write them a letter enclosing a copy of the sale transaction. Tell them to recheck the DVLA for the current keeper.

point out that they can not hope to win at either the appeal stage to the IAS or in court, so in order to save them costs both with the IAS and court, please confirm charge has been cancelled.

Appeal to the IAS after 1 week if no reply and keep all correspondence.

If you phone again and can't be bothered to do this in writing, then no one serious on here can or will help further.

We already sent them the bill of sale when we received the first letter from them..now they are saying they never received it..So if we write again they would quite possibly say we never contacted them..they have disarmed their e mail facilty.. we have contacted DVLA again and they will be sending another letter that we no longer are the keeper of the car...Thanks for all the replies..

Send it 1st class with a letter with free 'certificate of posting'; NOT recorded. And send it twice like that - keep the proof.

Awful wall of text but if you think you are going to get a penny from any PPC for your time, you're really really wasting your time.

Do as Coupon-mad says. The point is they can't win if you have the DVLA letter, so let them waste their money and time if they are too thick to act on your letter.

Just an Update...First,I looked on the Newbies page like some have quoted but nothing on there explains about the situation what we have..

Second..I have e-mailed Steve at PBA and he replied he has nothing to do with that sort of thing..However he did say he would pass it on to some one who does... will see on that..

Third..I have complained to the DVLA bout ParkDirectUK...they have acknowledged me just to say they will look into it...Again I shall have to see..
heres a copy of the text I have sent to DVLA

    Submit an enquiry regarding:

The release of information from DVLA records

Organisation that was provided data by DVLA: ParkDirectUK
Organisation that you are contacting us about:

    ParkDirectUK
    Location of incident:

    Banbury Road Oxford OX27HN
    Date of incident:
    18/06/2016 Details:

ParkDirectUKhas sent us two parking charge letters regarding the above car..this car was sold by my wife on the 17th June 2016 in Somerset where we live..My wife was no longer the owner on the date the alleged parking ticket was issued..My wife contacted DVLA the same day the first letter arrived and we received back from DVLA an acknowledgement that she was no longer the keeper of the car.. She also sent a letter to ParkDirect with the bill of sale of the car..then the second letter came from them dated 29th June asking for written confirmation from the DVLA regarding ownership..My wife phoned them and once again explained it isn't her car..the women on the phone got quite irate whereby I took over the car..the woman then hung up on me..What concerns me is that this company has the logo BPA on its letter but is not a member of it...I have written to BPA reporting this after getting advice from the Martin Lewis forum.. Quite clearly ParkDirect is not a bona fide company as such and shouldn't have access to anyones records that DVLA hold..So I wish to complain about ParkDirect in the strongest possible way..I understand there has been numerous complants made against them...will await your reply before contacting my MP...kind regards...Bryan Guy

Not much else I can do at this stage but wait...lol.. once again thanks for your advice...hope I don't get accused of bad text again like someone remarked..lol.. Cheers...Bryan
