Come off it Guys Daddy..Loosen up wont you...no need to take that attitude.. once again you don't seem to understand ..your simply nit picking but it did make me laugh..lol.. I wonder if you work for ParkDirectUK?..I am concerned that these parking companies have access to data which they shouldn't have..surely you can see that? Have a good day...I am going to...Cheers..Bryan
Bryan, we get lots of people on here who don't really have a cast iron case and we help them with technical appeals.
Occasionally, we see someone who is a 100% winner and also has the opportunity to cost the PPC money. Such is your case. Yours is a dead simple one to prove (from your posts) and we can see how it happened because of the timelapse between you informing the DVLA and them updating their records.
Yours is, honestly, dead simple and no big deal. As any experienced contributor on here will tell you, phoning is a complete waste of time. As a newcomer to this scam, you are indignant about them not accepting your wife's word and getting a bit OTT with what you are or are not going to do. And the business of the DVLA selling data has been done to death on here and elsewhere. We cold even give you the names of the DVLA people you could complain to as well but much good it will do you.
Please do come back when you have presented your letter to the DVLA to them and tell us what happened.
You can also appeal directly to the IAS as they didn't accept your initial appeal. But, again, you will need to present your DVLA letter and bill of sale. They will then be on the spot as they will either cancel to save the cost to the IAS or, if they won't, then they will have to pay the IAS adjudication fee.
If the IAS do not uphold your appeal, then please come back with their adjudication as we are compiling evidence of the IAS lack of impartiality.
And, yes, you have sussed me out. I am a PPC stooge as all my previous posts over the years confirm. I hang my head in shame.0 -
Bryan, parking companies belong to so called accredited organisations which are the BPA (British Parking Association) or the IPC (International Parking Community)
This gives them the authority to access info from the DVLA.
Approved by government. It is only the keeper info they can obtain.
Hence it is always said on here never to declare who the driver is as they do not know.
In your case the driver is the person who purchased your car.
So just wait to see what the DVLA say
Thanks Beamer..Thats what I am waiting for..lol.. I Have had a reply from DVLA just with a reference number and that they will be in touch..If any one is interested in the outcome I will post on here if they ask..otherwise I shall lie low as it seems I am getting ridiculed for what action I have taken..The PPA has also been in touch and has passed it to someone to investigate.. once again many thanks for you response...Bryan0 -

That's better...lol..Thanks for replying.. to me its an open and shut case but the attitude of ParkDirectUK does bother me..As a Newbie on here I was amazed of the information on these companies which have been disclosed on this forum..Ok, our case is quite simple compared to many I can see.. Will be very interesting to see where this goes..in the bin I expect..If only ParkDirect had an e.mail option then all this could have been avoided..so simple it would have been..I could have instantly sent them the bill of sale as an attachment and the matter would have been resolved very quickly.. Being hard of hearing I need for the person on the phone to be very clear..the person on ParkDirect wasn't..and rude too..so an e-mail option would be ideal for me..Hope that explains things..lol..cheers...Bryan0 -

We are all interested in the outcome because your case is not the norm.
Nobody is trying to ridicule you. It can be easy to forget sometimes that a first experience with the scammers is a baffling thing
However as the parking company have now said they will investigate, it means the DVLA have contacted them. The last thing the parking company want is to lose the facility with the DVLA.
The DVLA can sanction the company.
My guess now is that the ticket will be cancelled0 -
If any one is interested in the outcome I will post on here
Do come back and update us. We are always interested in outcomes from our advice, whether the outcome is positive or negative, as this further adds to our knowledge base and will undoubtedly help the next person who will fall foul of the same rubbish you're having to deal with.
Look forward to your update. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Just an update on our recent botherations with ParkDirectUK..I have reported this cowboy outfit and also made a complaint about them to DVLA and also to the so called BPA ..had acknowledgement from both..and awaiting more info from DVLA..
the contact e mail address for BPA stated some where on this Forum is now incorrect,,you need to contact an Esme Berry who was really not much help in this matter The e mail address should read mailto:aos@britishparking.co.uk ..Whether tis Esme has forwarded my complaint to ParkDirect I have no idea..If she has then they would know by know by now what my complaints are..whether they will react to that remains to be seen..
Today we have received confirmation from DVLA that My wife is not the owner of the car in question.. Now,thats what ParkDirect requested..I wont be sending it to them ..if they require it then they can come and inspect it at our address and bring with them the receipt of sale for my wifes car we sent them as proof which we require back...both documents belong to us ...personally I cant see them pursuing their claim as it always was to me an open and shut case..We notified the DVLA by post the day after my wife sold the car..ok..a delay would have occurred in them receiving it..as explained to ParkDirectUK on the phone prior to the ignorant and very rude lady who I was talking to hung up on me...still , you probably don't want to know that...lol..I cant see DVLA severing links with any parking company as to them its a nice big money earner for them..If any ordinary person requires details on ownership of a vehicle there is a charge of £2.50 I think it is for the privilege and take up to 28 days to get it..Obviously these merchants must get a discount and get first class attention... there is something else I have found out about ParkDirectUK which needs investigating..I wont reveal on here what it is..perhaps someone else can find out by doing a bit of research...actually its been quite fun dealing with this..and ours is just a simple case to do with a simple company...thanks for listening..cheers..Bryan :j0 -
Bryan
yes anyone can get owners details , but not for PARKING OFFENCES , trespass yes , parking NO!
only members of the BPA and the IPC can get info in regard to PARKING!
2 methods , instant by electronic transfer or by paper , without being a member of the above they are just idiots who hope people will contact them and revel all , ie: ANPR Ltd and premier parking logistics .
if they are found to be acting illegally , they can and will be banned from DVLA access , Ie: ANPR LtdSave a Rachael

Well done for fighting for your rights
Who knows what the BPA have done, they are the most useless bunch
Let's see if ParkDirectUK are stupid enough to continue. don't expect any type of apology, it is not in the remit of vermin.
Let us hope that the next prime minister can get to grips with the huge scam allowed by the DVLA, Cameron was pretty useless when it came to scams0 -

Hi Beamer...Well ParkDirectUK.are stupid enough to continue..had another "invoice" from them a week ago..The fee has gone up from £60 to £100 now and they have threatened to take us to court if we don't pay within 14 days..lol..Golly gosh how thick are they..We have the proof from DVLA that my wife was no longer the owner of the car on the day it was given an "invoice" she even had a cheque from them for the car licence...All I can say now is that we have proof that ParkDirectUK is guilty of writing and sending of threatening letters through the post...lol.. Will update you if we get any more "invoices" and threatening letters..Cheers...Bryan :j0
