A handy little tool for you ebayers. A postage calculator for free tell you the price for 1st/ 2nd, recorded, special, airmail, parcel.

Just type in the weight of item and packing in grams and it tells you the price royal mail will charge on each size. Brillent.

    Enjoy.
Mods feel free to move if need be. But i thought this might be very useful for members on this thread.
    Cashback sites are worth it:
    GP Cashback- £50 (£35 paid)
    PigsBack- £5.00 (£30 paid)
    Topcashback- £40 (£40 paid)
    Quidco- £50 (£43 paid)
    Ipoints- 500 + 2 CDs claimed

Guys, thinking about jacking in eBay selling. I have had such a rude customer honestly she was awful, she won't pay for the 8 items (£70) that she bought last week. Why do people bid if they don't accept your costs and descriptions? I had another buyer who left me a neutral for no flippin reason too. I'm thinking its more hassle than its worth :o(

well done to all you guys who are still selling strong!! Big claps to you !!!

  • (((HUGS))) Jamtart, that is so uncalled for.
I've been really lucky with all my ebaying, so it's horrible to hear of people being nasty.
I hope things get resolved or you get some really good ebayers in future.

Keep your chin up - you're our HERO on here :D

What a great idea this.:T ....we are refitting our kitchen and I have just sold 3 appliances the sum of which equates to the cost of the Nintendo Wii i bought yesterday for my 10 yr old,so I am well pleased. I am going to continue to sell stuff and see what more i can do.

lol! Supertart or something like that?! lol no way, you lot have been my motivation to keep going. I've just been so put off by tonights antics. Grr at the nasty lady!:mad::mad::mad::mad::eek::eek::eek::mad::mad::mad::mad::naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty:

I can't work out how much I made last week cos of said woman, but I am hoping to sell them all on 2nd chance offer, for slightly less but at least I'll sell them!!

On a POSITIVE NOTE I have roughly made another £30 tonight, so with last weeks estimated costs its around £120 in the last couple of weeks. That should be enough motivation to keep going!

  • Jamtart. Keep your chin up. there are some horrid people out there, but the good ones do outweigh the bad! I don't know why some people bid when they not willing to pay. you don't go into a shop and pick something up with price ticket on and when its been scanned say its too much! some people want something for nothing.
Well my sales dribbling through slowly. I made £2.40 yesterday. WOW! i don't know why but i've been selling Leap pads and the books to go with em, and the books are selling for more than the leap pads! strange!
Had a bit of a disappointment myself on the buying front. I purchased a mountain bike (new) from a seller in Germany, with the postage cost it was less than i would pay for a standard bike from the high street, for a top of the range bike. the seller only accepted bank transfer, me not realizing that i would be charged a further £30 from bank for this, so price of bike shot up by £30. Anyway thats all my big presents bought, and it was still cheep for what it is but still peed me off.
    Nothing to declare ;)

Sorry to hear about the extra £30 cost :(...I wouldnt of had a clue either. So perhaps you posting on here will mean that someone else wont get caught in the same way :)

Its strange how the profits dribble through one minute and bombard you next ;) so keep going :)
Its always the items that I think will sell..i.e. in packaging etc that dont make the price I think they would and then something I've had for donkeys and is well used gos for far more.

Jamtart6: Please don't give up selling! This thread is your baby, don't let one horrible person put you off! I also got a neutral feedback this week from a new-to-ebay buyer [who obviously doesn't understand the feekback system] which was totally undeserved.
It is annoying when you get non paying bidders but make sure you report them to ebay [I also block them from being able to bid on my account] and leave negative feedback and just chalk it up to experience.

:naughty: Hey no one messes with the Jamtart Challenge....right who is she? *gathers all the JCMSEs together* think we'll barr her from our auctions ;)

Dont take it to heart Jamtart, I think there is some miserable ole b****** out there but theres some great ebayers too :j . I've had some lovely experiences and friendly emails from customers/sellers since I've been using ebay and they far outweigh the nasties  out there.

Wooooo finally got around to listing some bits this weekend!! Got 15 bits on there, not expecting most of them to sell as they're mainly unused lotions & potions but we'll see. Got about 10 more lots that I need to photograph and get on. Will probably set the listings up today then set them up on TurboLister on a 5day to finish over the weekend. Also need to get my uni textbooks onto Amazon as they're no longer needed since I passed my degree!!

See my signature for updates, but I need to make about £182 to break even, then I've got about £50-£100 still to spend, so need to make about £250...

*watch this space and keep your fingers well and truly crossed because this will take a miracle*
