Final eBay items finished tonight and this is the result:

Made on eBay = £145.80 (not good compared to my usual results but I just haven't made much effort really)

    Spent on presents = £422.23

Minus approx £100 PlayTrade funds used

58% money neutral which I am quite pleased with:j
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
  • Well done to everyone :)

It looks as if most people have done really well, and look forward to seeing you on the New Year Neutral thread next year.

I've not done too bad, but I'm going to have to leave my results as below as the other extra money I earnt off of ebay had to go towards an unexpected car problem :(

:xmastree: Merry Christmas to everyone who contributed to this thread:xmastree:

    Hi everybody,

I've had to take the unprecedented step of reducing my Christmas spend in my sig cos my order from wantoneofthose.com isn't coming.

Due to my non spending MSE habits this past year, the bank decided that an £85 internet order was cause for alarm, WOOT decided not to ship since they couldn't authorise payment, but nobody decided to tell me about it.

...and ringing WOOT's customer service involves an hour on hold and I don't have time to do that again (Doing it twice already had me tearing my hair out!)

So I emailed 'em and told them to ahem... stick it.

Nothing in that order was exactly essential so we'll do without for the sake of my sanity.

So at the moment I'm in ebay neutral credit - but BIL and nephew haven't told us what they want yet  - and they will. (In their familly they don't have "Wish lists" - they place "Orders" .)

And hubby hasn't got very much yet bless him, cos he asked me not to buy him much yet cos he "might want a shed".

These people do know that Chrismas is next week don't they???

  • :jWell I haven't posted for ages but I've been ebaying my little butt off and sold £341.67 to be exact but I know I have spent £375 and a bit more this last few days, maybe £30 ish but this is fantastic for me as I am usually well into my plastic at this time of the year but I didn't use them once Yippee!!.

This is all down to reading this thread every day even though I don't post much because my fingers don't work too well the last few weeks, due to arthritis and am having a s***y time this last few weeks.

Thanks everyone, and I even did 4 baskets but not taken any photos yet and I got my sweet vodka /toffee,skittles,glacier mints brewing nicely next to me so I can shake it now and again to speed it up a bit.
Thanks again everyone I will defo be doing this again next year.

 :santa2: I'm all done for Christmas now.  :T :j

The IWOOT order did turn up in the end - albeit with things missing.

And I've had a bit of a paddy and told hubby that if his brother and nephew can't be bothered to let us know what they want for Christmas with only four days to go then they can't be that fussed - so they've got a voucher plus chocolate or beer. Sorted! (If MIL starts on about not waiting for them, I might start too! :D )

I just want present buying to be finished so I can start stressing about the food instead! :p

And I've got such a busy next few days, working in the daytime and in the evenings as well right up until Christmas so I just didn't want to leave it any longer.

    Anyway... :o

I'm ever so pleased with my results on this challenge but I did spend some whole days off from sun up until bed time listing in order to manage it.

And I was hoping to do Christmas for about £400 rather than £529 - but at least I eBayed for it rather than putting it on a credit card.

    Thanks lovelies!

    And Merry Christmas!!!!

    Love Jacks xxx

So far I have bought all of DD,s pressies using quidco cashback of £170 and I have made £120(it was £140 but we got a take-away and DD got £5 to spend) towards sons by selling stuff at a xmas market on saturday just past.
I need to make another £300 for ds,s pressies and another £500 for all the grown ups pressies and for niece and nephew,oh and the 2 dogs who will be getting nice big new beds each.I have about 20 people to buy for,
So an £800 target from ebay.
I have not sold on ebay for ages but have started buying using some money,£49,I had left lying in paypal from last time.

Ha!Silly me,Just noticed this thread is an old one so if this is running this year please someone post a link to the new thread and I will move there.
