I can never understand how it gos..I've done similar relisted something after having no bids and then people are fighting over it.
    Good luck with it :)
  • oops...I thought you meant the actual fabric mats lol
  • Evening all!

I've got 13 items finishing tonight. I'm up to £13.25 so far, but there's still time! I'll update you after midnight...

By the way, I've been very lazy with my Christmas shopping since my last update and only spent another £3.99 on some metallic felt tips! Maybe should start taking the Christmas shopping part a bit more seriously now!

Hi all - my 25 items that I had listed...well 3 sold to the tune of about £1.50 profit - which just about covers my fees. grr! oh well! giving up eBaying for xmas challenge now, will start again in the new year. got a few more gifts to buy - hopefully with boots points and pigsback vouchers tho so no more spending!!

    On another note http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=615607

here is the link to the new 2008 challenge, would love to have you all on board again - the emphasis is off hard and fast cash and more on loyalty points/surveys and vouchers...but obviously eBay and quidco when money is spent..

Will update you all on my final values for xmas 2008 asap!

Best of luck to you all in the final few weeks, and THANKS SO MUCH for keeping me company...hope you join me again in 2008 !!!

  • Okay, well toys are selling, clothes are not...might try those again in January to start me off on the 2008 challenge. I made another £20 last night, which brings the total to £166.50. Not bad! I could really do with thoroughly clearing out the kids rooms to see if there are any more baby toys still lurking in the corners...or anything else they might not miss! I just know there are a few more pounds profit to be made.

ok all - how are you doing in your final days on this challenge? id love you to all pop onto the 2008 gift challenge - slightly different and more long term than this one -with one key factor - SAVING MONEY!!

If you know you have finished your shopping and finished this challenge, let me know what percentage you have earnt back (PM me).

    Percentage - TOTAL EARNT / TOTAL SPENT * 100

I can then update our roll of honour! Thanks again all!

  • I've been ebaying like a possesed devil the last few weeks so I havent updated my signature...but will try to update in the next couple of days. As I dont think I'll be putting many more bits up now before christmas.

Jamtart...what on earth are Toluna points?

See you on the new challenge in the new year :)
  • I've just listed another seven items in a last ditch attempt on the challenge! They are all ending on Sunday, so I'll let you know what my final total is then. There is nothing of great value, but even if they only make a few quid, there will be a bit more space in this house!

Really I should have been writing my overseas Christmas cards tonight, but Jamtart6's challenges are so addictive!

..Meant to say guys - anyone up for this kind of the next year - for the whole year. Not just about selling on eBay, but becoming money neutral. I know ROZ_V has been trying to do it this year, and I tried but failed, but think I could do it with the eBay selling too. I'd try and focus more on building up Boots, Tesco and Nectar points and buy presents with them and reducing the amount of real cash spent. And obviously sell through the year - for birthdays and Christmas. Perhaps even only aiming for 50% - would be 50% more actual cash in your pocket?

Anyway, think I am going to give this a go - and will keep a thread like this to keep up with my progress (if lovely tine the board guide doesn't mind!) and anyone of course is welcome to join me! :T

hi folks, I've been neglecting this thread as I've been concentrating on reducing my debt. However, I'm pleased to report a profit of 58.36. Still short of my target of 75 quid, but I've done so much better than I ever thought I could. I'm really impressed at everyone's progress :T :T :T

Jamtart, I'd definately be up for a Christmas 08 challenge starting in the new year. I'm saving my Boots points, nectar points etc for next year xx
