Jamtart, I hope I've done this right. Its a fairly comprehensive thread about Amazon that I stumbled on by mistake. It's brilliant and should give you all the info you need xx

they charge the buyer £2.75 postage which is good if its a small book, not so good if its heavy.
the seller pays 0.86p then 17.25% of the sale price in fees
Postage & Handling: £2.75
Total Amount: (£12.74)
Less Amazon.co.uk Marketplace Fees: (£2.68)
Less VAT on Amazon.co.uk Marketplace: (£0.40)
Total Due Seller: £9.66
that is what i got minus £2.40 for postage
it shows you what you will have to pay and how much you will end up with before you list the item0 -
hi all, just trying out my signature, and i have a question
i have been buying bits and bobs all year round and bought a few presents in the boots january sale, do i have to include these in my total spent on presents because i havent got a clue how much i have spent, or can i just count what i have spent since i started the challenge?0 -
Hi everyone I have finally started my personal challenge and have added my sig.
I already sold 3 items, one was £84 and two other items £16 each, using the spreadsheet so kindly sent by Jamtart6 (thank you) I made a profit of £90
I already have 13 items finishing tomorrow and have £34 in bids so far !!.
I did go a bit mad though buying way more than I intended but a lot of the stuff I bought will also do birthdays as well.0 -
Ooo i want to join in, love this idea. :T
The last things I sold on e-bay didn't go for very much but after reading this thread I feel better about it because every little helps, right!0 -
Yey, got my first bid - a whole 20p but its only for a book so hey, still need to buy some presents mind. Good luck everyone. Thanks also for the spreadsheer its great.0

hi everyone,
well I'm celebrating! I've just worked out everything from my spreadsheet.
I've spent £114 so far on presents
I have about £125 left to spend plus whatever wrapping I might need (hopefully none) and food (only us three, so not too many extras this year).
I've made £215 on ebay - which I am blown away by.
So I need to make another £25 or so on ebay. I'm running out of things to sell, but I'm sure I can find something if I look hard enough
So, so far I'm on my way to lapland LOL!
