Oh dear Minimoneysaver
There is still plenty of time.
If it's any consolation I've just spent a part part of my eBay winnings on an eCourse on how to stop procrastinating.
Oh my - the irony!! let's hope it stops me deciding what you spend so much money on and teaches me to say No instead!

wahoooooooo!!! well done minimoney! i start in jan - thats the only way Im organised!!!
Anyone seen cheap travel games anywhere? i cant find them for love nor money. i tried all the places people suggested the other day and nowhere has them - NOT EVEN ASDA SUPERSTORE!!
Our local Somerfield has MB Games ones on sale at £1.24 instead of £4.99. It isn't clearance stock as they've had fully restocked shelves for the last 2 weeks, includes loads of favourites and from memory I've seen:
Monopoly, Hungry Hippoes, Operation, Mastermind, Cluedo, Downfall, Battleships0 -
Well I'm afraid I am very very depressed. All of my e-bay items have closed and I only sold 5 out of 12 andmy overall profit was a shocking 2.34!
Well it's quite funny in a way to be honest. I have e-bayed before and done fine but this time it has been absolute pants! I didn't think about my prices and the fees properly - on one item it actually cost me 34p to send it!:rotfl:
I am contemplating doing a few bits on buy it now - what are all of your thoughts on this?

ohhh sorry mini,
Have you listed them in the correct category?..have you put on a good photo?..described them well?...put as many details in the title to cover people searching for your item etc. Sorry to seem as if I'm bossing but just trying to help as a friend tryed ebaying and when I took a look it was a very basic description.
i.e. jazz shoes
I added in her description dancing majorettes and dance and the size
There may be more hints on the ebay board?
oops sorry just reread your note and noticed you have ebayed before.
I'm really not sure why they arent selling a little better.0 -
Hello, I'd like to join in. I've not ebayed before, but have one listing at the moment and loads of stuff on Amazon. DD and I plan to sell loads of her stuff this afternoon (I need her technical brilliance to take photos hee hee). I'll aim for 25% - Christmas Bauble, I think xx0

Welcome aboard the christmas train
Good luck skintscotslass (have you tried saying your name lol...what a tonguetwister lol)
Some people find that listing during the evening gives better results (have a peep on the ebay board). You could always download to turbolister (download free from ebay) and then load them up this evening? This means you can spend the afternoon putting info and photos on but they wont be put onto ebay until you download this evening from turbolister. It only takes a couple of minutes to put loads on at once then.
Good luck!!!!!0 -

Don't worry I don't think you are being bossy! Any suggestions are gratefully received believe me!:D
I don't really know where I've gone wrong - maybe nobody wants my tat!!? I though they were all pretty decent things to be honest - it could just be a bad week. I must admit I do often struggle on descriptions and they could improve. I never know what to say!
Well I'm not going to give up - I'm going to re-list them and add a few more items and see what happens then I will assess my e-baying future!:j0 -
sorry to hear that mini - eBay really has a life of its own, doesn't it?
I posted up 3 items that didn't sell. Posted them up again, didn't sell and then this time they BOTH sold. No idea why - the description was the same, time of ending the auctions was the same too. Go figure!
If you let us know what you are selling, perhaps we can help with the descriptions. I pack as much as I can into mine and sometimes write deliberate common spelling errors too.
So, not that you would sell one, but an idea that comes to mind might be tetrapak and Tetra Pak so that they both come up in searches iykwim.
I had things go in the early days that COST me to sell as well LOL! I have to grovel around again and thank Jamtart so much for the spreadsheet; it has really educated me by putting in all the fees just how much little you can sometimes get for your efforts. Thanks again sweet lady
I've just posted my last two items so I will post up my grand total later; I'm feeling positive about it - yay!
