What on earth will he do with his life after this?
Possibly discover that there is an actual 'weddings and anniversary' board on MSE and realise he could have got answers on there from people who are also organising weddings.0 -
Have you hired a big top to house this circus? With love, POSR

I'm clearly on the A-List for wedding invite.
Relative of OH is getting hitched in a few months. Had the STD (no not Sexually Transmitted Disease), then the formal OTT official invite. Although it says RSVP by mid August, am already getting hassled for a reply as they are trying to see if they will have space for B-ListersIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
Just curious:
Would anybody want to attend a wedding if they were aware they were on the B list?0 -

Yes if it was one where only close family/friends were on the A-List, otherwise no.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

I really meant would you want to go to a wedding if you knew you were only invited because somebody else had declined and the bride & groom had a space to fill.0 -

I might, depending on the relationship, but I wouldn't feel obliged to spend loads on a present, outfit etc.
I can easily see a situation where a couple feel obliged to invite 50 cousins, but are secretly pleased when 10 RSVP no and make room for a few less close friends/colleagues/birdwatching club members who would otherwise have evening invites!0
