Hi, I hate to mention this but what will happen when you meet someone else and they ask you to marry them? will you then keep the name of your sons or change your name again to the same as your new husbands???0
-
I believe you can change your name to whatever you want on all documents except your birth certificate. You just start using it. Check with Citizens Advice as they have this information.Torgwen..........

Fran is correct. You can change your name just by beginning to use it. You can also change your son's name, by the way, if you have not been married to the father and he has not aquired parental responsibility.0

Yes, from the sounds of things your son would not be able to be adopted or change his name unless your ex agreed. Although from the sounds of things, at the moment its a rather theoretical situation!0
