Ooooh in other news I lost 0.6lbs :o not great to be honest, need to try harder this week!

I also paid £170 off my credit card (sig is out of date). I will get £3060 on 17th July when my regular saver ends. Decided to keep £1000 as emergency fund and pay rest straight off card. Should still clear around end sept hopefully :)

    Dinners will be-
    Beef chilli and rice
Jamie's yellow curry and mini nann
    Chicken pathia curry
    Lamb damask
    Beef rendang curry
Beef Thai stir fry and noodles
    Squash and spinach curry

As you can tell I LOVE curries :rotfl:

Oh, I'll be looking them up. Love curries too.

Not a spend free day today as we need rolls (BBQ tonight with stuff from freezer, make the most of the only sunny evening for a while), bread, milk. But should be a rather small shop of some fresh stuff as the freezer and cupboards are still full.

"Annoyed" at DH. I've been training for this triathlon for months and can still barely run 4 mi with a 10 minute mile (swimming and cycling much better). So DH decided to do a starter tri too, the one I did last year near Oban. He has three months left and thought he better starts training (he plays a bit of football twice a week otherwise) and just like that ran 4.5 miles with a 7 minute mile. He gained a more than a few pounds over the last year (one of his motivations to do the tri) but still has this intrinsic fitness. - can't find the smiley for jealousy :o

Well done to everybody who managed extra payments to the credit cards.

Love the turkey chicks EE, I guess they are for the event that begins with C. Do you keep any other animals?

Friend messaged from her holiday in Norway and complained it was raining and only 12C. Lovely Scottish summer then :rotfl:

Thanks lilian, that really did make me think!

Today was a SFD :) I had a training day which was really good and got lovely free food and drinks :) Just done a dog walk and some extra work at home to try and stay afloat at work tomorrow.

Tomorrow should be payday from the marking I've been doing. Does anyone know if builders usually require a deposit? I'm having a lot of work done and not sure if you usually pay a deposit? If not I will pay most of it to the debt and save the rest for the other things I have budgeted for.

Hope you all have a lovely evening.

Dizzy thank you :) I am feeling good about it. But scared at the black hole of income to fill until it starts to deliver. I am going to look for some part time work to fill in around the edges. I can do evenings and weekends now DD is a bit older she is ok to be looked after by DH.

Lillian what an interesting article. I have always observed that people compare up not down. Therefore they feel they have less etc when if they only saw what some people manage on they-d feel wildly grateful.

I had a weird one the other day. I was travelling on a bus standing in the buggy area and some how a lady who also had a small baby and other kids struck up a conversation with me. Somehow she thought that as she was on the council emergency housing list I was too. I think it was a language thing. I listened to her story. She and 3 kids living in 1 room of a hostel. Barely any facilities and they were also forced to cross 2 boroughs to get the older child to his school each day. In that moment I felt my life was very simple and blessed indeed.

    Elephant cute Turkeys :)

Welshkitty amazing payments you are on fire!!

Confession time: bought some sandals. In the clarkes sale. Were more than I wanted to pay - £30 - but a dark pink and fitted me well. They'll do for work and will get me out of my trekker-style footwear sometimes... So, I convinced myself to get them, and at the till they were down to £22.50. Result! And my first new pair of footwear in about a year. I have been getting achey feet, so want to be able to vary what I wear on my feet too. And they make me smile when I look at them :D.

I am using cash that I had in the house (found £30 in an envelope from last month's 'entertainment' that had been forgotten - I really am rubbish at using any sort of envelope system! And monies made from my school fair) and have not yet been to a cashpoint. I shall last as long as I can...

Apple well done on your bargain shoes. Finding £30 you didn't know you had must have felt great.

    Stats
    0/5 NSD
£15/£1000 August business pot £50/£1000 September
    £10/£170 stretch target
£28/ extra money made (ebay & envirophone)

So today I booked my first space hire into September. £15 plus catering. So not a huge first booking but we are off the mark.

Have put £10 to the PAD today so £160 to go there.

I have explained to OH that I would like to go out first thing and spend some time pulling all the action points together for the new venture. He is fine with watching the children. If I try and do it at home I will be distracted the first time I hear her cry or notice housework to do. So there will be a cost attached to that but priceless for clear thinking time.

Walked to the shop and back today so 45 mins each way. Then spent 2 hours playing in the garden with both of them. Which was fun.

Tonights meal will be gnocci & pesto with blue cheese & salad.

Sent some pics to MIL today to cheer her up, shes doing ok but until she has the lasering done is on a lot of meds still.
