Mothernerd, some days I think you live in a time warp where the days are longer than usual, as you ge so much achieved!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Good morning all
Goodness me Mothernerd that's a busy day!
Another NSD yesterday which takes me to 4 this month, I anticipate another today. Although having said that I did pick up a bottle of Coldpress Apple Juice as it is on a TMF offer - I won't count that as a spend as I will get it back. Tip: in the Metro today there is a a coupon for a free 4 pack of Budweiser from Tesco or Co Op - so I will go and collect one from each but no other shopping.
So yes, no spending planned for today, my lunch break will be spent doing 5k on the treadmill at my gym. I know the gym is an expense but to me £29.99 a month is cheaper than pottering around town every lunch break and inevitably spending. I do go three times a week so it's worth it to me.
On the train now, will pick up my free coffee from waitrose on the way to work.

It actually surprises me when people say it's brave to go out without make up. I don't wear make up most of the time and don't really get why people fear not wearing it (it's not because I am really beautiful either ha!). The show did make me think about the amount of time I spend on mindless stuff where I could be doing more useful/fulfilling activities. I find it helpful to post on here but generally scrolling though Facebook is a waste of my time. There was as guy on the show that enjoyed not having his tv as it meant that it gave him time to learn new things. One of the things I am bad for is buying things to do later I.e. piles of books to read, crafts to complete etc. Although I enjoy these things, I think I probably overwhelm myself with stuff to do and thus don't do any of it! Perhaps I need to get rid of a lot of these kind of things (and stop buying more) so I have the headspace to actually do the things I enjoy. Food for thought anyway.
For me it's being brave to go out WITH makeup :rotfl: as I'm rubbish at applying it, never learnt to do it. Loads of people didn't by the looks of it. Or it seems to fashionable to have a really obvious fake makeup look, I prefer natural (with or without make up)
I agree with the FB thing. I just quit 3 months ago and feel better for it. Sometimes wish we didn't have telly but that would be a hard negotiation that I would loose in our household.
SFD today, swim and healthy lunch. Harvested our first homegrown swede today so will look up a nice recipe for dinner that doesn't involve haggis as the weather is too nice.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Got my first NSD yesterday. First of many.
Today I had breakie at home and I've brought some cous cous to work, so I should manage another NSD today. I do have some jeans that I need repaired but I could hold off and take them on a spend day.
lillian - how long a lunch break do you get? I try and go a run at work but occasionally time won't allow it. Well done on getting it done though.0 -

That's only £2.50 a session, similar to my uni one (£23 a month). Plus we get a free shower so we save electricity at home. Definitely worth it if used.

I get an hour so I do 30 minutes on the treadmill - can get to 5k in that time so gives me time for a shower afterwards. I also do a Stretch session (with 10 mins on the cross-trainer at the end) and a Pilates session. It's cheaper than my local council one and also because I can get there and back in a lunch break I use it much more often than I would do if it was at home.
My act of kindness today - picked up some extra free 4 packs of Budweiser and passed them on to colleagues. Also gave a voucher to the Portuguese lady working in TescoMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Thank you everyone for your kind words, it means a lot. :smileyhea
I think I am feeling a bit of delayed grieving as I was so unwell in the weeks immediately afterwards needing surgery, more surgery, then 3 different infections that being sick distracted me.
It was unplanned (and therefore not budgeted for) and was very early on (7 weeks). Both hubby and I had a bad cold virus and the doctors think this is what caused it.
Am glad to be back on this forum though as reading all your posts is motivating me to get back into my exercise as I know this will massively improve my mood.
Haven't had a NSD yet - am training away from my usual place of work so this means I had to buy a chilled drink in yesterday's heat (drank the 2litres of water I had already packed in my bag in the first few hours of my shift!). So spent £1.69.
Only got today and tomorrow of work training to get through then I have a 5 day long weekend when I do my batch cooking and freezing as I find I have very little energy when I'm working shifts to make something healthy!
My batch cooking meal plan will look something like this:
Beetroot risotto (it's bright pink!)
Tomato, butter bean and spinach pasta bake
Couscous stuffed peppers with marinated tofu
Baked sweet potato and veggie chilli
Roasted Mediterranean veg pie
Breakfast is always almond nut butter and banana on toast
Lunch is usually more a mixture of snacks rather than one square meal - couple of apples, small tub of walnuts and blueberries, hummus with either carrot sticks or chopped peppers, falafel, and a packet of crisps (I can't be a saint ALL the time! :rotfl: )
All this talk of food is making me hungry, time to go and raid the cupboards/fridge!
Have a good day everyone.

Wow, Thanks for sharing about the Budweisers, I may just go and indulge if there are any metros left by the station.
I think today may be a NSD for me, as long as I don't buy anything if i get the Budweisers.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Sounds delicious. What goes in the Roasted Mediterranean veg pie, if you don't mind sharing. Me and DH need to eat less meat. DH used to cook vegetarian meals when he lived in a shared house donkeys years ago, or so he claims. Whenever I try to cook without meat I like it but DH is not satisfied. So always on the look out for new ideas.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Thank you Thank you Thank you
I am now the proud owner of a four pack of Budweisers, and I didn't buy anything extra.
