Bossy I'd check they are talking about the same child
Dizzy so sorry about the water. Amazing how insurance people get their finger out when it's going to cost them money isn't it.
I'm on cloud nine. Finally I have a drivers license, and tomorrow I will pick up my new car. Just to reinforce my joy, the bus home (1338) didn't turn up so I was waiting for the 1457 while twiddling my thumbs wanting to do insurance quotes. Now they've sent me a policy with the wrong information. Thank goodness I read all the small print.
It was supposed to be SC brisket for dinner, but I've just taken it out and it's like shoe leather. It may be a freezer dive pizza I think. At least the dog will be happy! Mmmmm. Maybe I'll try cutting using the slicer and turning it into sandwiches. It was YS but I hate wasting the money.
Have a lovely weekend Narc0 Make sure you've got some champagne Where in Norfolk are you going?Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -

2 nights in a B&B at Wroxham. Fri am we get a steam train to Buxton where we pick up the canoe and paddle back. Sat we will probably explore a nature reserve in the area, then staying with friends outside Norwich overnight. Home via other friends in Suffolk on Sunday.
I think champers may explode if I put it in the motorbike pannier!!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Narco, weekend sounds lovely.
Bossy - glad you've had some reassurance re DD, I've met her and she's gorgeous
Welcome newbies
CY - You've changed my name to Jazeera, think I could now be on some kind of CIA checklist! What will they think if they read this thread?
So I went back to the paid stuff today, but can't even really get my head around the dailies yet either as some of the dailies don't need doing any more as there aren't any OldDog hairs around.
Had to go to vet with LittleyDog today as she's got skin problems again. It never rains.....
I was wondering where LW has got to after her recent holiday. I'm waiting to hear all about it and the summer solstice.
And I'm missing the lady too from Plymouth/Portsmouth who also loves dogs.
Catch you all tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Evening all,
A grumpy ATB checking in. I've looked after three very grumpy small people all day and wanted to scream into a pillow by 10am. NOTHING made all three of them happy at any one given point all day.
DS' behaviour has been off the chart foul, including biting his own arm at one point and head butting the carpet in a tantrum giving himself carpet burn! He's 2.5, people tell me this is normal behaviour for his age, I have no idea as DD never went through terrible twos. All I know is my nerves are shot as the next meltdown can come from nowhere and they are getting more frequent.
A busy day tomorrow but kids are at nursery and pre-school so at least I can go about my business without everything being a negotiation or battle.
I'll check in properly tomorrow, take care all XMFW

Morning all.
ATB - hope your little ones play better for you today.
I had a nightmare last night in which I suddenly had responsibility for looking after 5 children. The mornings were a nightmare, getting them ready and having to get to the paid stuff. Woke up in a hot sweat (but that could just be my age). Think I may have been reading too many of Pigger's posts.
Today:
Gym
Shower
Walk dog and vote remain
List/dailies
Paid stuff
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all

ATB - sending empathy, sympathy and virtual wine...Tiny gave himself a huge black eye in the bath last week, pratting about. Had to explain that to the nursery staff on the same day that Small got an egg on his head and a fat lip playing bulldog with the older lads at breakfast club. I'm sure social services will be round soon0 -
Morning all.
Busy day today, got to be at DD's school for 3.40 via voting, going to the bank and I need to pop to the shop between the bus stop and the bank as well. Before I do that I have work I need to do, and I desperately need a shower (ideally a bath as I've got leg cramps) as well.
