Thank you to Natty for last weeks thread.
Do not lose heart if you cannot keep up with everyone else or reading the thread, don't try to reply to everyone and please remember to include something about flying in all your posts.
Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer![/U]

Hi I'm in for a few days, then away for the weekend (which will start on Thursday afternoon!). Thanks for thread-writers.
Ionafan hope DH is back to normal now.
We've had a lovely weekend with visitors, a great time at the Open Garden Squares and even better, the house is still clean and tidy. Guest bedlinen already washed and dry.
This week I want to:
- start collecting paperwork together for tax return
- keep up with garden especially edible things
- deal with the red flagged 'to do' list which is now over 20
- make final payment for Sept holiday
- keep up with flying
- out of my control, but hopeful that after seeing physio on Tuesday I will be able to get back to the gym.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
I am in...
Thanks for the thread this week Piggers and last week Natty
Ooh I have just noticed that when I shift to caps the letters all change to caps too.
JUST noticed....

Hi all,
I am in! Thanks for the list! I have a little paid stuff tomorrow and then in all day Tuesday but will try to stay on track!!!!
YL- sending you hugs. It's always hard when others are doing so well/ so happy. You start to look at your own life. We went to our local farm for Father's Day and everywhere I looked there were happy families having a lovely day. OH and I have had quite a few arguments this weekend but went to the farm for a Father's Day activity. He has been quite strict on the kids all weekend and taking his mood out on everyone else so there was a lot of tension in the air. We were going through the motions but it was all a bit rubbish!!!.
Pigpen- you must be a proud mummy!!!
Anyway here is my list...
Buy card!!!! Urgent!
Wm x2

Buy uniform and next voucher

Make and write more thank you cards

Thanks to pigpen for the new list and to Natty for last week's. Like Narc0, I shall be away for a couple of days at the end of the week, and I'm still trying to get my report finished. I've realised this evening that I can't get access to a DRopbox file full of photos that I need, to break up the text and illustrate what we were doing
This week I must:
- go on a U3A canals trip tomorrow afternoon
- finish the report
- give a talk to the Old Wives
- send some emails / make phonecalls / write a couple of proper letters
- get my DBS forms checked
- do my tax return
Flying-wise, tomorrow I will
- do WM x however many loads it takes to empty the linen basket (maybe 5?)
- clear and wipe the kitchen worksurfaces
- wipe the units.. don't forget kickboards!
- wipe small appliances and replace.. do one thoroughly.. descale or decrumb or degunge!
- mop/vacuum the floors
- take a freezer/fridge inventoryNarc0lepsy wrote: »Ionafan hope DH is back to normal now.

How on earth did it get this late?!?! I best get to bed. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning all
Thanks Frizzle. I know what you mean, and lets face it no-one's life is perfect. I have realised that since DS1 became ill I am more reluctant to mix with people partly because you start comparing your life with everyone elses - but now I am on my own a lot and probably quite lonely. And of course DH is now having health problems and I just think what did we do to deserve this?
Anyhow, on with the day. Busy day today, lots of car journeys and both paid stuff to fit in. Need food shopping. Oh and what is going on with the weather, today was supposed to be a better day and its raining!
Have a good Monday everyone x0 -
Morning all
Thank you for the lists, pigpen and natty. I'll be in as much as I can. I've been doing stuff off list for a while now do need to get back to done basics and fly again instead of just kondoing excess.however satisfying that is.
Hugs good wishes coping vibes sticks and spoons where needed welcome too the new flyers and gentle hugs to the new fly baby.
Won't be flying till later as busy day But I will tackle the kitchen when I return so going to write a paper list down so I know what I'm doing.
Have a lovely day all even in the rain.SPC~12 ot 124

I'm in - thanks pigpen :A - but reports have to be in by Friday so flying will be limited (what's new?!!
)
Lots of hugs needed so sending one for you all xx"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Just done a huge pile of washing up and wiped all the work surfaces down. So it looks like it did when I went to bed. Teenage boys a like having shoe elves in reverse. Instead of tidying and being useful they come out at night eat all the food and leave a huge mess!! Ds1 has gone to work and ds2 and a friend are snoring on the settees. They'll probably surface at lunchtime.
Have a good day all, I'll catch up later.SPC~12 ot 124
