    What a night!

Ds1's flat has had a leak from 4 floors above. The ceiling has caved in.
He is ok. I have been trying to get him to save his certificates etc. I'm even more anxious about my journey now. If you see me go past in my small blue car give me a wave. I'm going south to go north. X

You're not going to believe this - there's a note by my bed informing me the cat flap has been locked because there's been ANOTHER mouse! Or the first one was injured/too slow and has been caught again.
There are two sizes of mouse, tiny ones and bigger ones. I've been assuming they are different types. I'm going to goigle...

    Good Morning All,

Oh Jazee big hugs to you lovely, take a day to collect yourself and enjoy a walk with Littleydog. Everything else can wait for a day x

Oh deary me Dancemum, I hope it can be sorted quickly and that DS certificates can be salvaged. Really glad he's ok x

Hugs, sticks and spoons all round xx

Well DH and I enjoyed the footy last night, England really should have scored though, and I had the best nights sleep I've had in ages. DD was up at 5.30  she still looks peaky but is managing an untoasted hot cross bun now lol. I've just done an online food shop for delivery on Thursday - we only had one delivered the other day where on earth does it all go and why on earth is it so blimmin expensive! Even though we cook from scratch and don't buy loads of carp is still seems to be costing us over £120 a week for the four of us plus dog and cat :o. If anyone wouldn't mind sharing what they spend I would appreciate it, either to make me feel better or give me the kick up the bum to re-assess exactly what goes where!

Right, I need to put the DW and galvanise - I want to get to the local aldi for 9am for nappies and wipes.

    Have lovely days all xx

  • Morning all, is it too late to say I'm in and thanks for the lists?

First of all, massive hugs Jazee , I hope you're Okx

    Piggers how are your stitches?

YL hugs, keep posting when you feel down, it helps. I often find myself very down as its seems lots of our friends and acquaintances have everything more "sorted" than us. It passes though, we are who we are. You have a lovely family, and so do I, and that's the most important thing x

Valli you are making me miss having a cat!

Well done CY for the sofa flying x

Has anyone heard from lw was it a long cruise they have gone on?

Right, I've got half a day off. Sports day at one, if it doesn't rain. Before then:

    Dailies
    Tip run
    Present and card for SIL
    Dog food urgent
    Internet shop
    Ring dentist
    Send froggy email

    See you all later

    Morning all.

Not in a good mood today. Didn't get to bed until 1.30am, then got woken up at 6.30 by DD singing along with her CD while drying her hair. I was not impressed as we have neighbours and I know we make enough noise as it is without her starting that that early. I've told her before to keep the noise down until 8am weekdays and 10am weekends.:mad: Only plus was I managed to get the WM on a cleaning cycle and then into the shower before 7am.

Bathroom S&S'd then stripped of clutter & shelves, 3 wash loads of washing done and waiting to be hung out, 4th load in now (had to split some loads, new black jeans were not going in with green tshirts!), I think there's only 1 left then, although I might wash the throws and odd dog items as well. There's a very strong doggy smell again. :(

Not happy at the plumber as he said "first thing tomorrow" to me yesterday and I've not heard from him since; 10am and still not showing is not first thing  He's got my number so if he's had to go to an emergency he could call me. I could have gone to the pet shop this morning and walked there and back with Zack to wear him out, and only done Mr A last night so I would have been in bed before 1am

I'm going to go peg the washing out, then call the plumber to see where he is. If he's not coming today he'll have to wait until Friday to come as I have appointments tomorrow and Thursday. Then I've got work to be getting on with.

ETA: On the plus side, I've found a cash machine yesterday which dispenses £5 notes without me having to go to the university or all around the houses to get the the one on the business park. I just wish the one at this Mr A did that instead of just £10 and £20 notes!

Hi all, I have been a 'lurker' here for 2 years or more but I'm thinking if I post my lists it'll motivate me to do more (hopefully) so here goes:

Monday~ Kitchen of Grot and Dining Room of Gloom
    Level One
Declutter and mop/vacuum the floors - done
    Clear and wipe the work-surfaces
    Level Two
Wipe the big appliances and units.. don't forget kickboards!
Wipe small appliances and replace.. do one thoroughly.. descale or decrumb or degunge!
    Clear a sticky dishevelled cupboard
    Level Three
Wipe the table and replace the cloth if necessary.
    Binbag dance!
    Clean the oven and hob..
    Extras
    Clean blinds/curtains and light fittings
    Wash the windows
    HHI - done
Take a freezer/fridge inventory and see if you can start using it up
Also give dw a good clean, it's smelling a bit icky
Tuesday ~ Living room, hall and stairs
    Level One
    Declutter and degrot the floors
    Vacuum/mop floor - done
    Level Two
    Dust and deweb
Wipe all the paintwork in the hall and stairs
    Wipe the sofas
    Level Three

Clear and wipe the table/mantel/etc and put back only what should be there..
Sort coats, shoes and bags into their proper places.. are any outgrown? need replacing?
Your tribute to CY... spend half an hour testing your sofas comfort.. Doing something you enjoy.
    Extras
Declutter and make pretty the airing cupboard/linen store
    binbag dance
Sort out budgets or lists for holidays or school uniform to purchase before the end of term.. or they won't have time to order it before they finish

So gonna see how far I get before school run and then it's almost match time!

Rang plumber and he was "just about to call me". He's had an emergency so can't make it today, and he can't make it Friday so it provisionally re-arranged for Saturday at 9am. Now I've got 2 choices, I can either put everything back in the bathroom properly, or I can just put back what we need on 1 shelf and leave the rest in my bedroom in a box and DD can have her stuff in her room in a basket, I'm thinking the latter :p

Washing is hung out, I have some stuff to go in the TD to finish off, so now I can get on with paid stuff. At least in theory I have a full day at home uninterrupted.
