Oh dear. I've had my very stressed mum here. I think she needs some chill pills ;) coffee dispensed and an ear for listening. Also told her she needs to apologise to someone  hope she feels better.

Right well my LR is all about tidy so I'm actually going in the garage as I have only a week to sort myself now. Kids have a training day next Wednesday then all the demolition begins - yikes!

    Off I go!

Welcome Leeann. Typical mad day in my world. Up at half six, tea in sc, washing out and another load in, clean washing put away, bathroom scrubbed. Paid stuff no. 1, whiz around supermarket, home to let dog out, paid stuff no. 2, home to feed everyone and put dw on.

atb I have cut my food shopping bill massively out of necessity. I budget £75 a week for 2 adults, a 17 yo and a 15 yo including all cleaning but no pet food. I can actually do it for less though.

dancemum drive safely. I hope things are OK with DS.

Right, clean bedding back on DS1s bed, dog to walk and I MUST do that kitchen floor.

Hoping DH will pick DS1 up so I dont have to go out in the car again.

    I'm home.

It took me, friend and ds1 about 5 hours to clean his room, his kitchen and shower. I hadn't realised how bad it gets when 3 boys who live away from home for the first time. I'm sorry I didn't have time to take photos. Lots of items binned. Car was still packed. I'm grateful that we survived the day.

I couldn't have managed without my friend.

I have corralled most of his bags in the living room so they can be sorted and cleaned before distributing them about the house until September.
  • Evening all

    Good day today :

    [STRIKE]Dailies[/STRIKE]
    Tip run
    [STRIKE]Present and card for SIL
    Dog food urgent
    Internet shop [/STRIKE]
    Ring dentist
    Send froggy email

The dailies included three loads of laundry washed, dried, ironed and put away. I have also made some bread, a large stew to last us a couple of days, untangled dd2's kite from the washing line (took ages), been to sports day (ate cake) swept and mopped bathroom floor, cleared piano hot spot and polished it, cleared and wiped OH's second desk and refilled the bird feeders.

YL that shopping budget is mighty impressive. I must try harder.

    Leeann welcome :)

Right, being as I am feeling unfit and flabby after sitting watching my DDs run about whilst I ate lots of cake (for charity so I felt obliged) I'm taking the dog out for a little extra walk and I'm going to jog

Evening everyone and a warm welcome to Leeann :hello:
CY - good to see you're still sofa surfing

Pigpen - hope those stitches are starting to heal up

Jazzee - sorry to hear about Old Dog and hope you felt better after your walk

ATB - I don't think you're way off on your food budget. There are only two of us and I have a budget of £200 a month for all household 'stuff', but we do eat well and I could do it for a bit less. You could have a look at the monthly Grocery Challenge thread June 2016 Grocery Challenge for some ideas and cheap recipes :)

Gosh - there's not enough hours in the day atm. Trying to keep up with all the debates on the referendum, the football, tennis at Eastbourne, Spanish course and nutrition course. Then all the shopping, cooking and flying of course :rotfl: At least I can't say I'm bored !!
