[STRIKE]- S&S bathroom
- make DH a packed lunch
- S&S kitchen
- take DH to station[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- drop off DH's suit at dry cleaner's[/STRIKE]
- buy larger buttons for a blouse that keeps bursting open
[STRIKE]- take my DBS forms for checking[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- hospital appointment at 12.00[/STRIKE]
- finish writing my report and email it
[STRIKE]- phone a friend[/STRIKE]
- pick up DH from station or next town
Forgot the card earlier  but I did manage to write another section of the report before I went out this morning. I should get on with it, now that I've eaten some lunch, but I had a migraine yesterday which is still lingering, so I'm going to put my head down down for an hour on the sofa first.0 -
Bossy are you sure the teacher was discussing YOUR DD and not someone elses by mistake.? can you speak to the head, also what is a pink level book?
Drizzling here

I wonder, kazw because when I originally asked the TA about it, she was clueless and said she didn't understand it. I'm going to speak to the TA again - she has been there full time all year, where the teacher has been in 8 weeks, and part-time ones at that. Most of her reading has been signed by the relief teacher. I'm going to have to trust my instincts on this one I think. I got the impression teacher doesn't really like children that much...
Pink level books are simple ones for early readers, they have 3-4 words on a page, quite repetitive and just have a few pages. I think it's the first level.
Kitchen cleared this afternoon as plumber now coming today. Meaning we can't go to the park as promised - oh dear - tomorrow we will, though.
Also been to kitchen place with £££s and they showed me the new display which has my new worktop - oooo but it's prettythey asked me to take some before pics to do a little feature on their FB page later
Done a wash, filled and set DW on and generally tidied round. Also picked up some tin foil baking dishes that will fit my halogen oven to try cut down on washing up while we are without a proper sink. We'll create a bit more rubbish in the next few weeks!Bossymoo

bossy they have got that wrong surely? Its certainly not the impression I have of either of your kids. How upsetting though.
dizzy we could write a soap opera out our lives. And you gave me a giggle, stay strong x
Sitting in hospital while DS1 is pumped full of drugs to keep him going for another 8 weeks. His blood pressure is low but no-one has said what that means so I assume its nothing to worry about.
Meatballs in sc for later, I must get to my gym class tonight ahough DS wants to call at the shops. Must not spend!0 -
YL hope ds1 is ok X
Atb. Yes it was definitely like ocd cleaners. We ended up having a toilet stop and drink in a pub complete with a clothes airer, my dyson and a bag of cleaning stuff. My friend's top was covered in kitchen grease and I wasn't too clean either. Good job Queen didn't visit yesterday. X
4 million loads of washing done and now it is drizzling.0 -
Bossy - stick to your guns! And if ( and I use the word with caution ) your little moo is misbehaving slightly maybe it is because she is BORED RIGID?
Hugs to Jazeera. But your post raised an.issue in my cuddled brain. Where is LW? Can anyone update me?
Yesterday involved a hospital trip for the removal of my Picc line. I am.delighted not to have it any more. The dressings were really starting to irritate.
Slept in this morning. Anti nausea tablets are giving great relief, but causing weird dreams...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Dizzy hugs indeed.
After a fairly social day yesterday, I did manage to get a bit of general sorting and tidying done, plus some gardening.
Mixed news from physio; good news is that my shoulder has more mobility than her initial assessment (end April), plus my arm/shoulder muscles are strong. Less good is that she wants me to rest it for another month, which is depressing. I had a word with the gym manager, and kindly they have agreed to add 3 months onto my renewal date (I pay annually) so at least that will pay for some of the physio. So it looks as if Mr N will be paddling the canoe solo on Friday while I sit in the back like some sort of Victorian maiden with a parasol (or more likely an umbrella).
Today:
1 load of washing on line
2 baskets of washing folded and put away
Humungous blitz on en suite with copious amounts of sweeping, mopping, shower head de-scaling etc.
Quick sweep and tidy in master bedroom.
Charged up intercom batteries for our weekend away.
Updating satnav, ditto.
Done quite a bit more of the Referendum course, feeling quite despondent now. I feel the politicians are acting like squabbling children, the public are confused and the whole thing is, as someone just said on the course forum "like watching a slow motion train crash". Did you ever join the course - sorry can't remember which of you was going to?
I'm chipping away at all the 'to do' flagged emails.
Just walked up to post a letter.
Started piling clothes in spare room for w/e away; not that you can fit much in a motor bike pannier.
Think I'm due a coffee then some gardening now.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Thanks for all the hugs ladies - I feel thoroughly squeezed
YL - our stories are far too far fetched for soap operas. No-one really has all that bad luck!
Has the teacher got the right child Bossy? Her impression is completely alien to how you describe your DD...I'd definitely follow up with the TA. Good teachers are hugely important in a child's development. Maybe your DD and this teacher don't click. My Small has come home with a letter advising that our primary school is condensing from four classes into three as the intake prediction is so small (such is rural life). One teacher is taking early retirement and another has reduced their hours. Not sure what this means for the school's future0 -
Thanks ladies. I'm feeling much better now. Asked the TA and she shook her head and gave DD a squeeze. She said these assessments are not like before - the standard they are measuring against is so high - not like previous years. The whole class will score much lower than other years have even though they are broadly the same in attainment and behaviour.
Why the teacher couldn't say that I don't know! I did say to the TA "can I ask, off the record, does that teacher even like children?" She laughed her head off - very telling!
So - now I know what I'm up against - and it's not DDs behaviour. I watched her pick up a little boy who fell off his scooter while we were waiting for DS. She's not a mean child. No way.
CY glad the line is out for you. Full steam ahead for the wedding, eh?Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Aww bossy glad you've been able to talk to the TA and get reassured that the wrong information was given to you, however that is still horrible and a very bad way to go about things. I hope your dd continues to be the lovely little girl all her virtual aunties on here know her to be.
Hugs dizzy, sorry that the weather is being so horrible I do hope that things get dried out and sorted for you soon.
CY glad the line is out.
Gentle hugs to you and your little one pigpen
hope everyone is as well as can be.
Just back in from work, so playing catch up with stuff, this mornings washing is dry so can come in and be swapped with the wm full that's done. Given neighbour the parcels that ds2 took in for him and sent sd1 down the post office a mile away where ours was left.SPC~12 ot 124
