I had a nightmare last night in which I suddenly had responsibility for looking after 5 children. The mornings were a nightmare, getting them ready and having to get to the paid stuff. Woke up in a hot sweat (but that could just be my age). Think I may have been reading too many of Pigger's posts.
Pigpen, do not take this as an excuse to stop posting!
The same applies to Dizzy, atb and everyone else. One of the joys of this thread is knowing that we are *all* trying to cope with this crazy life(and in my case at least, a crazy DH too )
FBO, congratulations on getting your driving licence. Enjoy your car :j:j:j
Bossy, (((hugs))) re DD. I agree with CY that she's probably bored.
I have just finished my report and am demob happyJust need DH to read it through once before I email it to the People Who Need To Read It.
Today I must
- do online banking
- email the report
- tidy up the study bedroom (all the Germany stuff can go now)
- shower and eat breakfast
- S&S the bathroom
- S&S the kitchen
- pack for a night away: we're driving up north to visit friends tomorrow
- vote
- post the card which I have finally got round to writing (and I've even found a stamp for it)
- lock up and go asap
I am planning to do my tax return on Saturday while DH is out playing trains, and will clean the house all through on Monday/ Tuesday/Wednesday next week.
Catch you all later - hope everyone has a better day today x0 -
Fabulous news FBO really pleased for you xxx
I've just taken some advice from an early years consultant friend who says the head will want to know if his staff are telling parents their children are mean. So today I'm writing a letter...Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
I was hoping that would be reported bossy, it certainly needs acting upon and teacher being told that is not how to engage with their parents or pupils.SPC~12 ot 124

I have emptied ds1's wardrobe so he will be km his clothes today. He doesn't know yet. He is just getting up.
He also wants to visit his grandparents to tell them he has passed.
I'm slowly finding homes for everything. My house looks like steptoe's yard.0 -

Agh, started day looking at torrential rain. May have cleared up by the time we leave, later this afternoon, but I don't like motorbikes and wet roads.
2nd task of the day was to put all dishwasher contents into hot water as it had a hissy fit and baked cereal onto practically all the dishes.......yum.
Waterproof camera on charge.
Will vote later as I have to go up and post a letter then check church flowers. Really depressed about this vote for some reason. I think I'm going to vote head not heart and know I will regret it.
Glad you may be getting to the heart of the matter with teachers Bossy. From what I see working with 16-25yr olds there is a lot of bad practice still going on - amidst, thankfully, some good work.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Narc0, enjoy your weekend away.
Good plan, Bossy.
Pigpen, I hope the midwife doesn't confound your expectations and go off in a huff because you're out and about :rotfl:
dancemum, I trust that your DS1 will do all his own ironing! Keeping my fingers crossed for a good drying day for you.
Still to do:
- shower
- S&S the bathroom
- pack for a night away: we're driving up north to visit friends tomorrow
- vote
- post the card which I have finally got round to writing (and I've even found a stamp for it)
- lock up and go asap

I'll get an earaching no matter what I do.. this infection isn't dealing with itself, I haven't rang the GP to even try to get an appointment.. I am not wearing my stupid squeezy socks, it's too hot. I aren't doing the injections.. and since stopping the really heavy bleeding stopped. I haven't taken any of the drugs I was sent home with.. and I've not had my blood count checked again either..
I am a really disobedient patient lol.
rice krispies scoffed.. OH can go get Dot and we will all go to bank/chemist/vote/shop after lunch.
I need opticians appointments for DS3, DD3, Squeak, Dot and Pixie.. *sigh* more money!!!

Current books done ready to go out, don't know where my head was when I was writing my list of who needed one though, I missed 5 customers.
Fortunately my subconscious realised and I'd printed extra newsletters
Paying in book ready for the bank. I'll have to go again next week, but I'd rather have the money in the bank than leave it sitting around at home.
I've S&S in the kitchen after going to open a jar and discovering that under the shrink wrap label it was smashed so little shards of glass went everywhere. I even mopped the floor in case any had got on it. Before all that I took half an hour to do the ironing I created last night. I currently only have 1 smart-ish outfit which I wore yesterday and as I walked home it was very sweaty and I also had baby drool on it from my friends little boy who though my top tasted good :rotfl:
I've washed the door mats from the kitchen as they were full of muddy paw prints and the WM is now on a boil clean cycle. I need to sit down in front of it and give the door seal part a good clean, its full of dog hair and ick.
Time for me to drop everything and go to have a bath. I also need to put some make-up on. I have bags under my eyes that could quite easily house the entire contents of a container ship in each one.See you all tonight when I get back and can get stuck into some proper flying.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
