    Good Morning ladies,

Thank you for the lists Natty and Pigpen xx

Just a flying visit from me this morning - we are due a home visit from the lady who will be DDs reception teacher come September. DD is beyond excited to meet her, and I have been frantically tidying and polishing in anticipation! I know she isn't coming to assess the house but still, I want her to see that we live in a lovely home.

YL - Sending you big hugs. It sounds like you and yours need a break from routine for a short while - how about a self-imposed long weekend staycation where you do lovely day trips as a family, have your favourite takeaway as a treat and generally give yourselves a break? Forgive me if I'm speaking out of turn, you just never seem to stop and the last thing anyone needs is for you to be poorly Big hugs xx

Right, i need to get dressed, tidy a few stray bits and dress the tiddlers!

    Have lovely days all xx

    Quick update:
    - do WM x however many loads it takes to empty the linen basket (maybe 5?) - now on 3rd load; 3 more to go
[STRIKE]- clear and wipe the kitchen worksurfaces
    - wipe the units.. don't forget kickboards!
    - wipe small appliances and replace.. do one thoroughly.. descale or decrumb or degunge!
    - mop/vacuum the floors[/STRIKE]
    - take a freezer/fridge inventory

We have to take a packed lunch for the canal trip, so in view of how cold I felt on the last trip, when the weather was not unlike today's, I have put on a pan full of soup made with onion, tomatoes, sweet potato, pearl barley (run out of red lentils ), chicken stock (from Friday's roast chickens) and curry powder - using up odds and ends :D Either nobody will want to sit next to us and we'll be banished to eat our lunch out on deck, or they'll all be crowding round sniffing the air for some warmth :p

mrs-mp, I know exactly what you mean about reverse elves - my DH is just like that :rotfl:

YL, if it helps to get it off your chest keep posting - we don't mind. This weather is enough to cause everyone to fall into a deep depression. It will be beautiful again once the schools reopen in September

    Morning all.

So far today I've spent 2 hours working my way through my online email with 02 so I could make sure it was all downloaded. Found about 40 that weren't so it's a good job I checked!

Now I can get on with sorting out my delivery! Flying, apart from a quick tidy in the bathroom and my room hasn't happened. I have a funny feeling it won't today. I have to go to Mr A for groceries though no matter where I am with stuff. Already told DD tea is chicken of some form, mash & peas so at least I know that'll happen...kind of lol :o

Best laid plans.. poor DD puked just before her teacher arrived :o poor teacher is going to arrange to come back. DD has had a bath, back in bed and fast asleep.

Need to go out and get some biological washing powder to clean her mattress - why the heck didn't I put her mattress protector back on last time :o

    Having a quick cuppa break.

You know how this is my busy work week, plus I have extra things on this week not work related, as well as really needing to get my tax return etc sorted... I got a call from my landlandy at 11am, can I call the builder about the replacement bath being fitted. I call him thinking Wednesday, maybe Thursday, no the plumber is picking up the bath today and wants to drop it round, then come first thing tomorrow morning to fit it. So he wanted to pass on my number to the plumber so we could arrange it  Plumber has rang and said he'll be here around 2ish hopefully but will ring me first since I need to go out.

I've had to go and clear a space in my bedroom so it can be stored up there over night out of Zacks way (last time it was dropped off the morning they fitted it so it wasn't too much of an issue). Now DD and I will have to have our showers tonight so I have time tomorrow morning to strip the shelves out from behind the door so they'll have room to work as the door won't open wide enough for them to get the baths in/out otherwise. It also means I need to dose the dog with some calming stuff so we'll have to squeeze in a trip to the pet shop before they shut at 8pm, only this time I'll take him with us so they have a better idea of what we need. I'd go the vets but the stuff they provide takes 3 days to kick in :(

    Right, back to work.

Yikes, Nicki best laid plans, and all that. Hope my plumber is as keen :)

Hugs YL life is such a rush for you xxx

I took my last trip into work today and returned all my equipment. Saw a colleague who seems really down, said he wished he'd requested VR too. Gave him a hug and said it'll probably come up again within 2 years and just think of the money, meantime. Feel sorry for him. Then saw my (ex)boss. We laughed, he had to escort me from the building haha - because I'd returned my permit so couldn't get out.

Outside he said "how long before you can apply to come back?" I said I thought it was two years, but he must be having a laugh? he went on to say he had some grand plans that might be perfect for me!!! I said "oh, dear" clapped him on the shoulder, said "thanks but no thanks" and just walked off.
I think he's officially bonkers. It was a huge hassle getting out of their once, I ain't going back to do it all again! Lol.

Came home via my mothers (in need of support with toddlers) and then @ldi (in need of packed lunches) and next door neighbors (in need of chats :))

And here I am, lol. Just having a coffee then I'm going to frame myself and crack on!

    Hello fellow flyladies

    Another sofa bound day here.

Have had a complete sort out of my handbag. Gosh there was a lot of rubbish in there.

DH has finally gone back to work, so I must behave myself..

Hi all. Pigpen I would have cried too, that sounds nasty.

Thanks for kind words, things could be worse, I have some lovely friends on here and you really do make a difference, trust me.

Bossy that's officially it then, you are "economically inactive" as I once had to tick on a form. Exciting times ahead for you.

CY nice to see you keeping your side up from the sofa sorting that handbag out. And we are keeping an eye on you even if DH isnt around.

So, 45 minutes of paid stuff then off to get DS2 from school. Then I need to feed him and take him to work. 30 minutes to do supermarket shopping then DS1 to get from work. Then back to job no. 1 for a meeting and then back to get DS2 from work. Oh and I need to eat at some point. Will catch up with you all later.

Flying? I have cleaned the loos.
