Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

Since they've you put on a rolling monthly 12 month deal they won't be calling you for sure. If you really do only watch a couple of shows (on Sky channels presumably) and the F1 racing I'd drop it in a heartbeat myself.

More shenanigans with this deal or no deal. Having sent me a confirmation email and updated my future bills correctly they have now increased my bills to £57.50. Back to chat to sort out. Never had this before. All sorted but what a palaver.

Check it is properly sorted. I had similar and they kept saying my next bill would be correct. So it meant waiting a month to discover it still wasn't sorted. This went on for about 6 months until someone finally managed to sort it by putting me through as a new customer. I then received all the boxes to return my 'old' equipment, but I ignored that and the associated texts and it worked out in the end.

Cheers for that. Hopefully now sorted but will keep a keen eye on my account.

I've just gone to check my forward bills and it's now showing all my discounts until Nov/Dec 2027 when they were due to expire this year. I had an email earlier that broadband is expiring next month as that was slightly out of sync as they screwed up my TV bills initially and even that gives a 2027 date.

I thought future bills only went up to 3 months in advance?
Are you saying that on October 2026 bill it shows discount end date November December 2027 or can you see the bills for next year?

It'll be the former.
Sky have been giving rolling monthly contracts out at the end of minimum term of late subject to the April price rises.
@robrymond Are you on Q by any chance?
1 -
Yes I'm on Q and no I can only see bills until November, it's the expiry date of the discounts that has an end date. If they have extended it then we are at the mercy of the price rises again, but maybe trying to haggle anything less won't be successful.

But if you are in a rolling contract then you can 30/31 days notice to leave.
I would check all emails and online account to see if this is a rolling contract or 12 months min term .

I've had no Comms on it yet, just an email to say my broadband will be rising from £29 to £41 a month for 150mb (yet the portal says the offer is until September 2027).
