Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

@Employee123
It doesn't seem to be a normal contract but I don't know what happens when the April price rise kicks in do you just cancel?
Price isn't bad though.

I had similar happen to me, though I was just on Signature.
For me it has worked as expected.
But it doesn't make you immune from the usual annual price rise (usually around April).
Generally your discount is set in £ terms, and the price increase can be up to 10% or RPI on the non-discounted price. So the net price rise can effectively be a fair bit more than 10%.
But as you aren't in a minimum contract period you could choose to leave (subject to 31 days notice) when that happens.1 -
You can now leave penalty free now when Sky raise the prices because Sky lost a court case last year about it.
I have left twice and rejoined in past 9 months.

Only on Sky Q, Sky HD+ and of course broadband, not if you're on Stream or Glass (presumably mobile too but not sure on that).

The only thing I can't see on there is HD for Signature, they do occasionally do these 12 month rolling contracts so you'll have just 31 days notice to cancel. There will be the April rise but it's just a few quid on that. maybe they're rolling them out more to encourage people on to Stream given Q only has 3 years or so left.

I think you are on Sky Q?
If so, can I ask what price you got for Signature.
I got it down to £18.50 for just Signature a couple of years ago, but it's crept up to £24.50 now, and I'm wondering what others have been able to get.0 -
@Detail_Merchant mine is £24.50 pm
I have seen cheaper but I have other packs so the overall price is ok for me.
I know it will go up in April.

£21.50 for Signature, £5.50 Ultimate TV (Netflix), £4 HD & 500Mbps BB for £26 (no calls package).
Edit: BTW, this was all agreed this calendar year, so deals are certainly still there.

Mine as part of package is £25.00 per month

I'm within the 30 day cancellation window of a 2 year contract and seriously considering cancelling. I watch about two TV shows and F1 so the value for money really isn't there for the current price.
I'm currently paying £71.99 for Sky Q and they have applied some of my current discounts for another 12 months. So it will be going to £79.99 made up of:
- Sky Signature - £22
- Ultimate TV Pack - £5.50
- Boost to Netflix Premium - £13.49
- Sky Sports - £23
- Sky Sports HD - £2
- Sky Cinema - £14
- HD - £0
- Ultra HD - £0
I've started the fun conversations and I've been told there is nothing better. Even spoke to retentions after being told they could give better discounts and nothing. Best they could do was to save me £1.50 if I took off Cinema. Yeah, remove £14 but only pay £1.50 less 🤣
I was offered the same on Stream for £94 🤣
I know the next step is to go through with the cancellation, but as they have extended most discounts for another year without a new contract, am I likly to get any better? If not, NowTv here I come!
