Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

It'll be exactly the same via the app as you get now in the UK, no idea about the US as it doesn't affect us (if it is different).
The Disney+ channel (if you have cinema) will presumably be selected stuff that's on the app, although no one knows for sure yet.
BTW, why did you think you wouldn't get it on a Q box?

When you google Disney - it appears to bring up at least 2 alternatives
If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.0 -
I guess that's because the prices are different here and there (pounds vs dollars).
I suppose there might be some content differences - I don't know of any.0 -
@Detail_Merchant wrote "there is the opportunity to get a higher tier by paying the difference - see earlier questions on that page."
I wish Sky would go the other way and allow a reduction in the packaged TV fee if you don't want/need Disney+ (already have it separately, and it's paid for upfront for a while yet). ;)

If it's an annual fee paid direct to Disney then you should receive a refund from them if you connect the two accounts together. You don't get a discount for not watching some channels I'm afraid.

Seems I was wrong (sort of) about me not getting an April price rise 😏
I was just checking my online account and I've got another UHD free upgrade for 2 months offer. When I took it, it showed the cost as £0 and my bill will be £29 which just happens to correspond to my future bills minus what would have been the £3 April increase. So it was rolled into my new offer, which to be fair is cheaper than I was paying 🤷♂️

It's via Lloyds, so effectively free, but I'd rather Sky offer a basic TV package with less than what they're offering at the moment with all this extra Disney, etc (while putting prices) for a lower fee, and then people could add on what they want. But, hey-ho…

That would be too simple though.
I suppose that's what Now is for but I haven't used it for over 5 years so can't comment on what it's like at the moment.

Sky Essentials starts at just £15 but it depends on how "basic" you want it.

I'm stuck in a two-year contract (about 17 months left), but having now experienced Sky's (abysmal) Streaming service, I would definitely go down that route in future — as in, buying separate contracts with, say, Now TV, and Netflix, etc.
