Hoping that Mits999 knows what they're talking about as I've got a box full of recordings I'd be loathe to lose!Got back in touch by Chat to confirm cancellation, but it hadn't been actioned. After waiting for 45 minutes to get through, I was disconnected and had to start again. Luckily got straight through this time and was then offered a total price of £115. Still too high for telly!! Have now cancelled the TV bit (31 days notice) but the broadband only had 14 days notice so am waiting a couple of weeks to cancel this. Will keep you all updated

Hi all. Received a text message (27.1.25) asking me to get in touch about my cancellation.Only got in touch today (6.2.25) with 10 days to go before the end of TV as I know it.Just finished a 1 hour 45 mins online chat. Have now got a deal I'm happy with. Was given 3 different prices today but wasn't interested until they got it below £100/month. I'm sure there are better prices out there but now I can keep all the recordings on my 2TB Sky Q box (It's 86% full........yes i know!).So here's the deal:Signature £24.50Ultimate £10.99 (No ads on Netflix)Sports + HD £11 + £0Cinema £13HD £4Multiroom £10B/B £24 (reduced speed to Full Fibre 100 as Superfast not needed)Totalling £97.49This is a 24 month contract so no haggling for a good while.............They tried to add £20 Admin fee but removed it as I'm such a longstanding customer (29 years). All prices valid from April so no increase until April 2026.Had to really haggle about the broadband and even express an interest in switching (received an email from Vodafone so we'll see if i have any problems!)Hi folks,Update on the saga of re-contracting.Usually I never have any problems but his time I do. As I said, I re-contracted on 6.2.25 with a deal I could live with. I was asked to wait 48-72 hours before the changes would show on my future bills but that hasn't been the case!My future bills now show the new broadband contract and rate but the TV bill only shows the Netflix add-on!TV

The last person escalated the problem to the "Expert Team" 2 days ago when I received the cardboard packaging to return my Sky bits and bobs. This morning I received a text message reminding me that my Sky TV will be cancelled on Sunday and to contact them if I want to stay.Needless to say, I "chatted" with them again and they said there was "some kind of error" and to wait for the experts to sort it out.Me being me, I obviously didn't wait and gave them a call but still got absolutely nowhere!I'm not sure how things are going to go over the weekend, but if I lose my recordings I'll be severely annoyed! This should possibly now be in another discussion thread but I'm staying here for consistency!!!Any direct phone numbers to the "Expert Team" would be appreciated))

Contract ended last month so I was pretty slow getting in touch to try and renegotiate but when I did the best offer they could come up with was £88 a month for a customer of 13 years. The CSA seemed completely unbothered about trying to retain my custom so I said no and just to go ahead and cancel. No subsequent communication from Sky since to try and keep me other than to say it's not too late for me to change my mind!
I found them equally unwilling to budge on broadband when it came to sorting out a new contract for that. I was told my deal for ~ 60 mbps would go up to £40 a month (this was back in 2023). I said I was being offered 500 mbps from Hyperoptic for £20. They offered me the same speed I had with Sky previously for £35Again, CSA very unmoved about trying to keep me.
I had found Sky pretty good to negotiate with but loyalty gets you nothing these days it would seem.
We've just cancelled, normally I'd hold out hope of a counter offer coming our way or being able to call in a few days before it cuts off and doing a last minute deal but I'm not holding much hope from what I'm reading of others experiences.0 -
Friend of mine rang to renew this morning, was quoted £35.50 Signature £25 Sports Hd, £1 UHD, £9 HD, £13.99 Netflix so £84.49. He gets that for about £49 now, so he asks to cancel. Cancellations offered him it for £62.50 without Netflix, so a saving of £8 on first point of contact. Needless to say he cancelled and is not really that fussed about renewing by sound of it.0

similar to everyone else at the moment, customer of 24 years (! we've always lived in areas where Virgin isn't available).
we're paying £116.50 p/mth now for full tv pack inc sports/multiscreen & fibre BB, this will increase to £126.50 in April & up to £162.50 a few months later when current discounts end.
i was offered £1.50 discount per month against what April's price will be on a new 24 months contract, with no better offer apparently.0 -

Hopefully my last post on here for a bit!!My Sky TV did NOT turn off last Sunday and all my recordings are still there! I received an email informing me of an increase in price of £3.49/month from 3.5.25 on Monday. I was torn as to whether to contact them (I have a "chat" download confirming no price rises until April 2026) as that may have triggered them actually sorting out my future bills! The bills still only had my broadband and Ultimate TV uplift on them until yesterday. Suddenly they're more or less correct now!The package is correct, the pricing not so much but near enough (undercharging by £4 so extra £3.49 would still be under the original price agreed). I'll keep my eye on the future bills for a bit to check no more price rises appear!Thank you for your patience

Hi all - beware of Sky's TV retentions deals as they'll be subject to the annual price rise.
They will discount the headline price and give you a good deal (e.g. £40 contract discounted to £25). They apply a £ loyalty discount rather than a % discount now
Then they can apply a 10% increase contract twice over the 24 month contract. But here's the real stinker - it will be on the £40 price, so in year 1 it's £44 and in year 2 it's £48.40. So by the end of your contract a £25 deal will cost you £33.80. That's a 35% hike!
I'm leaving Sky in 20 months regardless of what it's retentions desk does - so sneaky!0 -
