Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

My Package is Sky Sig, HD, UHD, Netflix, Sky Sports HD/UHD, Sky Cinema, and Multiroom with 2 boxes. I was paying £77pm which ran out last week. Called the customer retention team who's best offer (after much haggling) was £90pm. I cancelled. 2 days later Sky called me back (some mysterious team who can't take calls, only make them...) and offered same package for £74pm for 2 years, albeit there will be 2 price rises during that period. Not sure that's the best price people have got on here, but I'm happy with it, and it does show that you do have to cancel to get the best price. I've been with them for 22 years, and whilst I always haggle hard on each renewal, this is the first time I've ever actually cancelled - sadly, looks like I'll have to this every time now!0

I agree, @Easylinkselecta - It's hard to put a value on convenience, but some will and do, so this needs to be considered. There is also a potential and likely cost associated to changing to another option.0

Been on chat with Sky this morning as prices have gone from £56.00 a month to £93.50. I was offered the following, information in brackets is full price -
Sky Signature - £23.50 (£36.50)
Sky Sport - £24.00 (£39.00. Inc HD)
Sky Cinema - £10.00 (£19.00 a month without Sport, £13.00 per month with Sport)
Sky HD - £ 5.00 (£9.00)
Total - £63.50
Got the usual platitudes of “you have been with us 20 odd years, we don’t want to lose you!”
I have processed the cancellation at the moment. Any thoughts on the price I was offered please?

New Deal
24m £36pm with 2x price rises
Comparable to deal I was preivously on for the last 18m. Got this via telephone rather than live chat though, after services had been cut off for a day or two. At least the 2nd price rise April 2026 will only be in force for 3 months.
Sky+HD (existing box)
Sky Signature £20
Sky Sports - Complete Pack £14
Sky Sports HD £2
Sky Go Extra £0
Ignored the bluster about must upgrade to Sky Q to get reconnected. As I still have magic eyes around the house and don't want to pay extra for multiroom their way. They really tried, I give them that. Current Sky+HD box and crusty dish and standard definition on those magic eye tellies is fine for me, so I'm happy with just continuing with what I have for the next 2yrs.Mortgage free I: 8th December 2009!
Mortgage free II: New Year's Eve 2013!
Mortgage free III: Est. Dec 2021...1 -

Rang and cancelled today 26 July. Contract ends 30 July. All she said was, thats all done for you, we'll send you packaging to return your box(es). No mention of offers at all. She asked me my reason and i said "cost". Was amazed, first how easy it was to just cancel, i remember having to spend hours on phone or livechat in the past... and also amazed at zero effort at retention. I guess just sit tight??
